Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall
The Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall is an indoor arena in Nikaia, near Piraeus. It hosted the weightlifting events at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. The venue was officially opened on August 14, 2004, the day after the beginning of the Games. The building had a capacity of 5,100, though only 3,500 seats are publicly available for the games.
Piraeus Prefecture (Greek: Νομός Πειραιά or Νομός Πειραιώς) was one of the prefectures of Greece. It was part of the Attica region and the Athens-Piraeus super-prefecture. The capital of the prefecture was the city of Piraeus. Neapoli Stadium (Athens)
Neapoli Stadium is football stadium in Nikea, a western district of Athens. The stadium was completed in 1965, and currently has a seating capacity of about 5,000. The stadium is mostly used for football matches and is the home field for Ionikos F.C.. Record attendance is 6,565 for a match against Olympiacos F.C. in 1990. On June 13, 2009, it was also used as the field for the Rugby Sevens' finals of the Hellenic Rugby Federation.
Electric Railways Museum of Piraeus
The Electric Railways Museum of Piraeus (Greek: Μουσείο Ηλεκτρικών Σιδηροδρόμων or Μουσείο ΗΣΑΠ) is a railway museum in Piraeus, Greece. The museum was established in 2005 in the space of the former Post Office in Piraeus ISAP railway station.
The railway from Piraeus to Platy is an important Greek 471-kilometre long railway line, that connects the Athens agglomeration to northern Greece and the rest of Europe. Its northern end is the station of Platy, on the Thessaloniki–Bitola railway. The line passes through Thebes and Larissa, and offers connections to several other cities through branch lines.
