Norwalk is a suburban city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 105,549 at the 2010 census, up from 103,298 at the 2000 census, making it the 58th most populous city in California and the 255th nationally. Founded in the late 19th century, Norwalk was incorporated as a city in 1957. It is located 17 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, and 12 miles northwest of Garden Grove.

Cerritos College

St. John Bosco High School (SJBHS) is a Catholic college preparatory school located in Bellflower, California, USA conducted by the Salesians of St. John Bosco, San Francisco Province. SJBHS is named after Saint John Bosco and was originally founded as an elementary and intermediate boarding school by the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1940. The first high-school class graduated in 1956, and in the late 1970s the boarding school closed.

Excelsior High School, originally named Excelsior Union High School was founded in 1903 in Norwalk, California. Its last graduating class was 1981. The current campus was built in 1924. The campus sustained earthquake damage in 1933 and again in the early 1960s. For much of its later history, the student body was known as "The Pilots" and the school mascot was the cartoon character Snoopy. The school colors were green and white.

Oldest McDonald's restaurant

The oldest operating McDonald's restaurant is a drive-up hamburger stand at 10207 Lakewood Blvd. at Florence Ave. in Downey, California. It was the third McDonald's restaurant, and opened on August 18, 1953. It was the second restaurant franchised by Richard and Maurice McDonald, prior to the involvement of Ray Kroc in the company, and it still has the two original 30-ft (9-m) "Golden Arches" and a 60-ft (18-m) animated neon "Speedee" sign that was added in 1959.
