Minorca
Minorca or Menorca is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea belonging to Spain. Its name derives from its size, contrasting it with nearby Majorca. Minorca has a population of approximately 94,383 (2010). It is located 39°47' to 40°00'N, 3°52' to 4°24'E. Its highest point, called El Toro or Monte Toro, is 358 metres above sea level.
Menorca Airport
Menorca Airport or Mahón Airport is the airport serving the Balearic island of Minorca in the Mediterranean Sea, near the coast of Spain. The airport, located 4.5 km southwest of Mahón, was opened on 24 March 1969 when all civilian services were transferred from the neighbouring San Luis Airport. It now has 16 gates linked by jetway to the main terminal building, and the airport provisionally handled 2,576,209 passengers in 2011.

Alaior
Alaior (previously in Spanish, Alayor) is a municipality on the island of Minorca, in the Balearic Islands, Spain. It is situated 12 km from the capital, Maó. In 2005 it had a population of 8,671 and it covers an area of 109.77 km². The principal activities are tourism, shoemaking, cheese, and construction materials. The patron saint of the municipality is Saint Lawrence and Saint Eulalia.
Es Castell
Es Castell is a small municipality in eastern Minorca in the Balearic Islands, Spain. The town was founded in 1771 by British Col. Patrick Mackellar and was originally called Georgetown in honour of King George III, however it takes its current name from the large fort nearby, known to the British as St. Philip's Castle. Col. Patrick MacKellar (Argyllshire 1717-1778) was the chief engineer of Minorca and his house today is known as Son Granot.

Sant Lluís
Sant Lluís is a municipality on the tip of south-east Minorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands. The area is most noteworthy for its varied coastline, with fine sand beaches and cliffs. Here you will find the beautiful coves of Binissafúller, Biniancolla and Binibeca, with their typical whitewashed fishermen's houses. There are capes and islets, and medieval defensive towers all along the coast, very characteristic of the island. The main beach resort is Punta Prima.
San Luis Aerodrome
San Luis Aerodrome (Spanish: Aeródromo de San Luis) was the first civil airfield on Menorca. Originally built during the 1920s it was converted for military aircraft activities during the Spanish Civil War. The airfield is located in the Sant Lluís municipality in close proximity to Mahon (only 2½ km from the town centre). During 1949, San Luis was equipped as a customs airport and opened to domestic and international traffic in August.
Cala En Porter
Cala En Porter (often referred to as Cala'n Porter or Calan Porter) is a village in the Alaior municipality of Minorca. It is located on the island's south coast. It was one of the earliest developed beach resorts on the island. Cala En Porter has a beach cove similar to Lulworth Cove, England, UK with high imposing limestone cliffs. Whilst the western cliff remains totally undeveloped, the eastern side is now covered in villas and terrace bars.
Teatre Principal de Maó
Teatre Principal de Maó or Teatro Principal de Mahón is an opera house located in the Spanish city of Mahón, the capital of the island of Minorca. The Principal, as is known colloquially, is one of the oldest opera houses in Spain. It was built in 1829, according to the Italian standards of 18th century opera. Every year, The Principal hosts Opera Week, an event where important opera figures of Bel Canto perform. The theater is also an important focus of Minorcan culture.
Son Bou, Minorca
Son Bou is a village in the Alaior region of Minorca, a small island in the Balearics. It is split into three districts: Son Bou (mostly shops, restaurants and two large hotels), San Jaime (Villas and Garden apartments) and Torre Soli Nou (Private villas and apartment complexes). It is a start/arrival point for two stages of the GR 223 - Camí de Cavalls. In all there are four hotels: two in Son Bou, one in San Jaime and one in Torre Soli Nou.
El Toro (Minorca)
El Toro in Catalan, sometimes known by its Spanish name of Monte Toro, in is the tallest hill of the island of Minorca, rising to a height of 358 m . The mountain is home to the Sanctuary of the Verge del Toro. The mountain's summit can be accessed by automobile or on foot, from which there is a fantastic view of the nearby areas of the island. El Toro is designated as an ANEI (protected natural area).
St. Philip's Castle
St. Philip's Castle was a fortress guarding the entrance to the port of Mahón. It is located in the municipality of Es Castell, on the island of Minorca. It was rebuilt by British forces in the 1760s, around an earlier Spanish fort, the Castell de San Felipe, which had been established about 1554. It is best known for its unsuccessful defence on two occasions by the British: during the Battle of Minorca in 1756 and the Invasion of Minorca, 1781.
Colom Island
Colom Island (Illa d'en Colom, official name in Catalan) is a small island of 143 acres, located about 200 meters from the north-east coast of Minorca. In the past it was used as a pesthouse and later as farmland. It has belonged to the Roca family from Mahón since 1904 when it was bought by Mr. Antonio Roca Várez.
