Shomron Regional Council
The Shomron Regional Council is an Israeli regional council in the northern West Bank. It provides municipal services for the 30 Israeli settlements in the Samarian hills within its jurisdiction with a total population of about 23,600 people. The council seat is located in Elon Moreh, the offices are located in the Barkan Industrial Park. The municipal area of the Council spreads across 2,800 square kilometers.
Havat Skali
Havat Skali, also known as Point 792, is an Israeli settlement outpost in the West Bank. Located around four kilometres south-east of Elon Moreh, it falls under the jurisdiction of Shomron Regional Council. It was established by Yitzhak Skali in 1999, and is home to around 20 people. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.
Itamar attack
The Itamar attack, also called the Itamar massacre, was an attack on a Jewish family in the Israeli settlement of Itamar in the West Bank that took place on 11 March 2011, in which five members of the same family were murdered in their beds. The victims were the father Ehud (Udi) Fogel, the mother Ruth Fogel, and three of their six children—Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and Hadas, the youngest, a three-month-old infant.
Itamar attack (2002)
The Itamar attack, was an attack that took place on Thursday night of June 20, 2002 around 21:00 in which two Palestinian militants broke into a civilian house in the Israeli settlement of Itamar in the West Bank, killing the Shabo family, murdering a mother and her three sons, while injuring two children. Later on the militants also killed the commander of the rescue squad during his attempt to free civilians trapped in the house.
