Kampen, Overijssel
' is a municipality, a city and an old Hanseatic city at the lower reaches of the river IJssel in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The municipality of Kampen counts 50,073 inhabitants (January 1, 2010) in an area of approximately 162 km² (only a small part of this area consists of water). Kampen is located in the North West of Overijssel and is the largest city in this region. The city of Kampen itself counts 34,063 inhabitants.

Schokland
Schokland is a former island in the Dutch Zuiderzee. Schokland lost its status as an island when the Noordoostpolder was reclaimed from the sea in 1942. The remains are still visible as a slightly elevated part in the polder and by the still partly intact retaining wall of the waterfront of 'Middelbuurt'. As a result from the increasing sea-level Schokland transformed from an attractive settlement area in the Middle Ages to a place under continuous threat by floods in the 19th century.

Grafhorst is a small town about 3 km north of Kampen, in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It received city rights in 1333. Grafhorst was a separate municipality until 1937, when it became a part of IJsselmuiden; it is now a part of Kampen.
Vollenhove
Vollenhove is a city in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Steenwijkerland, southwest of Steenwijk. Until the Noordoostpolder was drained, it was located on the coast of the Zuiderzee. Vollenhove received city rights in 1354. Later it was the main city in this region, that was formerly called Land van Vollenhove. Vollenhove was the summer residence of the bishop of Utrecht. he lived in the castle Toutenburg, of which only some small ruins are left now.
Wilsum
Wilsum is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Kampen, about 4 km southeast of that city. Wilsum received city rights in 1331. It is most known for its church, which was built in 1050 and as such the oldest church in the province Overijssel. Thanks to several restorations (the last one being in 1982) the church is still in a very good state. Wilsum was a separate municipality until 1937, when it became a part of IJsselmuiden.
Zwarte Water
The Zwarte Water ("Black Water") is a river in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is formed just south of the city of Zwolle when two streams, the Soestwetering and the Nieuwe Wetering, merge. The Zwarte Water then flows north through Zwolle, bends to the northeast, takes in the Vecht near Hasselt and flows past the town of Zwartsluis to discharge itself in the Zwarte Meer near Genemuiden.

Stad Vollenhove
Stad Vollenhove is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It consisted of the city of Vollenhove. It existed from 1818 to 1942, when it merged with the municipality of Ambt Vollenhove, which covered the surrounding countryside.

Zalk
Zalk is a village on the South bank of the river IJssel in the municipality of Kampen in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is situated just behind the winter Dike of the IJssel at Wilsum. The village was part of the heerlijkheid Zalk and Veecaten. After the creation of municipalities in 1813, the fiefdom was transformed to the municipality of Zalk and Veecaten. This municipality was incorporated in the municipality of IJsselmuiden in 1937 and belongs to the municipality of Kampen since 2001.

Bovenkerk, Kampen
The Bovenkerk (also known as the Church of St. Nicholas) in Kampen is a large, Gothic basilica and the most striking element on the skyline of Kampen. The interior of the church contains an early-Renaissance choir screen, a stone pulpit and a monumental organ. The church has 1,250 seats.
