Chennai
Chennai Listen/tʃɨˈnaɪ/ is the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal, it is a major commercial, cultural, economic and educational center in South India. It is also known as the "Cultural Capital of South India" and was declared as the most liveable city in India by the Institute of Competitiveness on account of economic, social, security and medical conditions as parameters.
University of Madras
The University of Madras (informally known as Madras University) is a public state university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the three oldest universities in India. The university was incorporated on 5 September 1857 by an act of the Legislative Council of India. The university is situated in the southern city of Chennai. It is a collegiate university and has six campuses in the city Chepauk, Marina, Guindy, Taramani, Maduravoyal and Chetpet.
Stanley Medical College

Chennai district
Chennai district, also and formerly known as Madras district, is a district in the state of Tamil Nadu, in India. Basin Bridge railway station
Basin Bridge Junction is the confluence of the Otteri Nullah and Buckingham Canal in Chennai, India. The Madras Boating Club operates rowing events in this place. Basin Bridge is also a station on the Chennai suburban railway. The station is located at the southern end of the 'diamond' junction at Chennai where all the lines of the Chennai Suburban Railway meet. It is the first station after Chennai Central.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a Chennai stadium and seats 40,000. It hosts football, and athletic competitions. The complex also houses a multi purpose indoor stadium with a seating capacity of 8000 which hosts volleyball, basketball, table tennis etc. The stadium is named after Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister. The stadium hosted nine Test Matches between 1956 and 1965.
Madras Veterinary College
The Madras Veterinary College is a veterinary college situated in Vepery, Chennai, India. The college was established on October 1, 1903, in a small building known as Doblin Hall. The college became affiliated with the University of Madras in 1936, and became the first college to offer the bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine in India.

Perambur Carriage Works (Tamil: பெரம்பூர் கேரேஜ் ஒர்க்ஸ்) is a suburban railway station less than a kilometre from the Perambur station in Chennai, India. The station has an elevation of 7.16 m above sea level. It mainly serves the Integral Coach Factory and its employees. The railway department has a lot of facilities around this station, including a school and an indoor sporting facility.
Ainsley canal
Ainsley canal is a short canal located in Chennai. The canal starts near Villivakkam railway station and connects Otteri Nullah with railway quarters and Integral Coach Factory near Ayanavaram. It runs for a length of about 3.3 KM. It has become highly polluted, with the residents of Pilkington Road, Vasantha Garden, Appathurai Main Road, Palayakaran Street and Madurai Street dumping wastes. The plight of the canal has not improved though the railways has desilted the canal in year 2006.
Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College
Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College is a government-aided institution, established in 1886 by P.T. Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker. In 1939 the college introduced government-aided courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1996 under a World Bank scheme the college introduced a course in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
C.S.I. Ewart Matriculation Higher Secondary School
C.S. I Ewart Marticulation Higher Secondary School (Ewart, pronounced you-urt) is a private Christian school founded in 1913 in Chennai, India. It gained matriculation status in 1945, and is managed by the Church of South India, Madras Diocese. The school mainly serves the communities of Purasawalkam, Vepery, Egmore, Kilpauk, Perambur, Sowcarpet. Ewart is fully accredited and is a member of the State School association.
Perambur railway station
Perambur railway station is a railway station in Perambur, Chennai, in the Chennai Beach–Arakkonam section of the Chennai Suburban Railway network. Perambur is also served by two other railway stations—Perambur Carriage Works and Perambur Loco Works. Most of the suburban trains passing through this station halt here, and some of the long distance trains too, have a stoppage at this station.
