Chennai
Chennai Listen/tʃɨˈnaɪ/ is the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal, it is a major commercial, cultural, economic and educational center in South India. It is also known as the "Cultural Capital of South India" and was declared as the most liveable city in India by the Institute of Competitiveness on account of economic, social, security and medical conditions as parameters.
University of Madras
The University of Madras (informally known as Madras University) is a public state university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the three oldest universities in India. The university was incorporated on 5 September 1857 by an act of the Legislative Council of India. The university is situated in the southern city of Chennai. It is a collegiate university and has six campuses in the city Chepauk, Marina, Guindy, Taramani, Maduravoyal and Chetpet.

The Southern Railway, headquartered at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the 17 zones of Indian Railways. It is the earliest of the 17 zones of the Indian Railways created in independent India. It was created on 14 April 1951 by merging three state railways, namely, the Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway, the South Indian Railway Company, and the Mysore State Railway. The South Indian Railway was originally created in the British colonial times as Great Southern India Railway Co.

It is the smallest of all the districts in the state, but has the highest human density. The district is a city district which means that it does not have a district headquarters. Most of the city region of Chennai comes under this district. It is divided into five taluks, namely, Egmore-Nungambakam Fort Tondiarpet Mambalam-Guindy Mylapore-Triplicane Perambur-Purasaiwakkam.
Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium
Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium is a field hockey stadium at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Named after M. Radhakrishna Pillai, it was the venue to the 1996 Men's Champions Trophy, and hosted the tournament again in December 2005. It was also the venue for 2007 edition of Asian Hockey Championship, in which India triumphed by a thumping margin of 7-2 over South Korea.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a Chennai stadium and seats 40,000. It hosts football, and athletic competitions. The complex also houses a multi purpose indoor stadium with a seating capacity of 8000 which hosts volleyball, basketball, table tennis etc. The stadium is named after Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister. The stadium hosted nine Test Matches between 1956 and 1965.
Madras Veterinary College
The Madras Veterinary College is a veterinary college situated in Vepery, Chennai, India. The college was established on October 1, 1903, in a small building known as Doblin Hall. The college became affiliated with the University of Madras in 1936, and became the first college to offer the bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine in India.

Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai
The Government College of Fine Arts (initially known as the Madras School of Art) in Chennai is the oldest art institution in India. The institution was established in 1850 by surgeon Alexander Hunter as a private art school. In 1852, after being taken over by the government, it was renamed as the Government School of Industrial Arts. Later, it was renamed as the Government School of Arts and Crafts and the Government College of Arts and Crafts (1962), before finally being renamed as present.
Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai
The Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and Government Ophthalmic Hospital (commonly called the Egmore Eye Hospital) Chennai, is the oldest eye hospital in the Indian subcontinent and in Asia. The institute was established in 1819 and is the second oldest hospital of its kind, next only to the Moorfield Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom.
Victoria Public Hall
Victoria Public Hall, or the Town Hall, is a historical building in Chennai, named after Victoria, Empress of India. It is one of the finest examples of British architecture in Chennai and was built to commemorate the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria. It served as a theatre and public assembly room in the late 19th century and the early 20th century. It now houses the South Indian Athletic Association Club.
St Andrew's Church, Chennai
St. Andrew's Church in Egmore, Chennai was built to serve the Scottish community in Chennai. Its design was modelled on St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Building started 6 April 1818 and the church was consecrated in 1821.
Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College
Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College is a government-aided institution, established in 1886 by P.T. Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker. In 1939 the college introduced government-aided courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1996 under a World Bank scheme the college introduced a course in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Chennai Central Prison
Madras Central Prison was one of the oldest prisons in India. It was located in Chennai (formerly Madras) in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It began operational during the British rule in India in 1837. Prisoners from the prison were moved to the newly constructed Puzhal Central Prison starting from 2006. The prison was 172 years old when it began to be demolished in June 2009.
C.S.I. Ewart Matriculation Higher Secondary School
C.S. I Ewart Marticulation Higher Secondary School (Ewart, pronounced you-urt) is a private Christian school founded in 1913 in Chennai, India. It gained matriculation status in 1945, and is managed by the Church of South India, Madras Diocese. The school mainly serves the communities of Purasawalkam, Vepery, Egmore, Kilpauk, Perambur, Sowcarpet. Ewart is fully accredited and is a member of the State School association.
Chennai Park Town railway station
Chennai Park Town is a station on the Chennai MRTS. Located just to the east of Pallavan Salai and to the south of the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in the Park Town neighbourhood of Chennai, it exclusively serves the Chennai MRTS. The station is adjacent to Chennai Park, which serves the Chennai Suburban Railway. It is also within walking distance to Chennai Central.
Chintadripet railway station
Chintadripet is a railway station on the Chennai MRTS line. It was opened in November 1995. It is built on the bank of Cooum River alongside Arunachala Street, opposite the new secretariat building. The station will be connected with the Chennai Metro Government Estate station, which is currently under construction. The station building contains a 1150 square metres parking area in its lower level.

Vandalur railway station is one of the railway stations of the Chennai Beach–Chengalpattu section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. It serves the neighbourhood of Vandalur, a suburb of Chennai. It is situated at a distance of 34 km from Chennai Beach junction and is located on NH 45 in Vandalur, with an elevation of 37 m above sea level.

It serves the neighbourhood of Park Town, a suburb of Chennai. It is located at about 3 km from Chennai Beach terminus and is situated on Poonamallee High Road, across Chennai Central railway station. It has an elevation of 7 m above sea level.
