Chennai
Chennai Listen/tʃɨˈnaɪ/ is the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The University of Madras (informally known as Madras University) is a public state university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the three oldest universities in India. The Southern Railway, headquartered at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the 17 zones of Indian Railways. It is the earliest of the 17 zones of the Indian Railways created in independent India. The other major railway hub stations in the city are Chennai Egmore and Tambaram.

Chennai district, also and formerly known as Madras district, is a district in the state of Tamil Nadu, in India. It is the smallest of all the districts in the state, but has the highest human density. The district is a city district which means that it does not have a district headquarters. Most of the city region of Chennai comes under this district. It is divided into five taluks, namely, Egmore-Nungambakam Fort Tondiarpet Mambalam-Guindy Mylapore-Triplicane Perambur-Purasaiwakkam.
Basin Bridge railway station
Basin Bridge Junction is the confluence of the Otteri Nullah and Buckingham Canal in Chennai, India. The Madras Boating Club operates rowing events in this place. Basin Bridge is also a station on the Chennai suburban railway. The station is located at the southern end of the 'diamond' junction at Chennai where all the lines of the Chennai Suburban Railway meet. It is the first station after Chennai Central.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a Chennai stadium and seats 40,000. It hosts football, and athletic competitions. The complex also houses a multi purpose indoor stadium with a seating capacity of 8000 which hosts volleyball, basketball, table tennis etc. The stadium is named after Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister. The stadium hosted nine Test Matches between 1956 and 1965.
Armenian Church, Chennai
The Armenian Church, Chennai, constructed in 1712 and reconstructed in 1772, is one of the oldest churches of the Indian subcontinent. It is famous for its belfry of six. The Church, also called the Armenian Church of Virgin Mary, is located on the Armenian Street, Parrys, Chennai, South India. Michael Stephen was the caretaker of the Church until 2004. The current caretaker (2010) of the Church is Trevor Alexander.

The Madras Veterinary College is a veterinary college situated in Vepery, Chennai, India. The college was established on October 1, 1903, in a small building known as Doblin Hall. The college became affiliated with the University of Madras in 1936, and became the first college to offer the bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine in India.

Victoria Public Hall, or the Town Hall, is a historical building in Chennai, named after Victoria, Empress of India. It is one of the finest examples of British architecture in Chennai and was built to commemorate the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria. It served as a theatre and public assembly room in the late 19th century and the early 20th century. It now houses the South Indian Athletic Association Club.
Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College
Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College is a government-aided institution, established in 1886 by P.T. Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker. In 1939 the college introduced government-aided courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1996 under a World Bank scheme the college introduced a course in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
