Valluvar Kottam
Valluvar Kottam is a popular monument in Chennai, India which is dedicated to the classical Tamil poet, philosopher and saint Thiruvalluvar. Valluvar Kottam is located at the intersection of the Kodambakkam High road and the Village road, was constructed by M. Karunanidhi - the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu during 1975-1976s. Valluvar Kottam now stands at the point which was the deepest point of a lake which was located in the area.

2012 Indian Premier League opening ceremony
The opening ceremony of the fifth season of Indian Premier League (IPL) took place on the evening of 3 April 2012 in the YMCA College of Physical Education, Chennai. The ceremony was designed by Wizcraft Entertainment, and began at 19:30 IST, lasting almost two and half hours. The tickets for the ceremony were priced at 7px1,500,000 and were available online at the official website of the IPL from 16 March 2012.
Mambalam railway station
