Chennai Listen/tʃɨˈnaɪ/ is the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Basin Bridge railway station

Basin Bridge Junction is the confluence of the Otteri Nullah and Buckingham Canal in Chennai, India. The Madras Boating Club operates rowing events in this place. Pachaiyappa's College

Pachaiyappa's College is one of the oldest educational institutions in Chennai, in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The college was established as Pachaiyappa's Central Institution at Popham's Broadway on 1 January 1842, from money given in Pachaiyappa Mudaliar's will. It was the first Hindu educational institution in South India, which was not funded by the British. It gained college status in 1889, and until 1947 only admitted Hindu students.

Ainsley canal

Ainsley canal is a short canal located in Chennai. The canal starts near Villivakkam railway station and connects Otteri Nullah with railway quarters and Integral Coach Factory near Ayanavaram. It runs for a length of about 3.3 KM. It has become highly polluted, with the residents of Pilkington Road, Vasantha Garden, Appathurai Main Road, Palayakaran Street and Madurai Street dumping wastes.
