European Economic and Social Committee
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is a consultative body of the European Union (EU) established in 1958. It is a consultative assembly composed of employers, employees and representatives of various other interests. Its seat, which it shares with the Committee of the Regions, is the Delors building in Brussels.

The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is European Union's (EU) assembly of local and regional representatives that provides sub-national authorities with a direct voice within the EU's institutional framework. Established in 1994, the CoR was set up to address two main issues. Firstly, about three quarters of EU legislation is implemented at local or regional level, so it made sense for local and regional representatives to have a say in the development of new EU laws.

Arts-Loi metro station
Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet is a Brussels metro station in the City of Brussels, Brussels. It is the only station in the metro network where all four lines (1,2,5,6) meet. It is located under the intersection of "Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat" and "Avenue des Arts/Kunstlaan", the latter street being part of the "inner ring". The station's lower level was opened on December 17, 1969, but at that time the station served tram rather than railway lines. The first metro train stopped here on September 20, 1976.

Rue de la Loi
Rue de la Loi or Wetstraat is a principal road running through central and eastern Brussels which is famous due to the presence of several notable governmental buildings (of Belgium and the European Union). The road, whose name translates into English as Law Street, runs from Rue Royale/Koningsstraat, almost in the centre of Brussels, to Schuman roundabout, in its European quarter. It forms the first (westerly) part of the N3 motorway that runs to Aachen, Germany.

Leopold Quarter
The Leopold Quarter is a quarter of Brussels, Belgium. Today the term is sometimes confused with European Quarter, as the area has come to be dominated by the institutions of the European Union and organisations dealing with them, although the two terms are not in fact the same, with the Leopold Quarter being a smaller more specific area. The Leopold Quarter was traditionally the area immediately south of the inner ring road, between the Porte de Namur and Porte de Louvain.

Esplanade of the European Parliament
The Esplanade of the European Parliament, or simply the mall, with its most representative part Solidarność 1980 Esplanade, (French: L'esplanade du Parlement européen, or le mail, Dutch: Esplanade van het Europees Parlement) is a pedestrian mall in Brussels, completed in 2002.
Delors building
The Delors building located in the European Quarter of Brussels and houses the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions. It was named Delors in 2006 after President Jacques Delors, who was the principal founder behind the Committee of the Regions and the most prominent President of the European Commission. The building was previously used by the European Parliament, then known as the Belliard building, before being renovated in the 2000s for use by the committees.
Rue Belliard
Rue Belliard or Belliardstraat is a major street in Brussels, Belgium. The street runs parallel to the Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat. Both are one-way streets; where traffic in Rue de la Loi is running in the western direction towards the Brussels city centre, the Rue Belliard is running in the eastern direction, away from the city centre. The street runs from the east of the small ring road to the south-west corner of the Cinquantenaire park.
