Genesis Convention Center

The Genesis Convention Center is a 7,000 seat multi-purpose arena located in Gary, Indiana, United States. It is home to the Gary Splash of the Independent Basketball Association and formerly the Gary Steelheads. It has also held the Miss USA pageant twice, in 2001 and 2002.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Gary is a particular church of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States of America. It was founded on December 17, 1956, by Pope Pius XII. It is one of four suffragan dioceses of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis, and is part of the Ecclesiastical Province of Indianapolis. Its ecclesiastic territory includes Lake, Porter, LaPorte, and Starke counties in northwestern Indiana.

Gary Metro Center (NICTD)

Gary Metro Center (also known as the Adam Benjamin Metro Center) is a South Shore Line commuter station serving the city center of Gary, Indiana. It is one of three NICTD electric train stations in Gary, and serves the Genesis Convention Center, home of the Gary Steelheads basketball team, and the U.S. Steel Yard baseball park, home of the Gary SouthShore RailCats baseball team. The RailCats's full name, SouthShore RailCats, honors the South Shore Line.

Union Station (Gary, Indiana)

Union Station in Gary, Indiana was built in 1910, just four years after the city was founded. The station is located between the elevated lines of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway and Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Built in a Beaux-Arts style utilizing the new cast-in-place concrete methods in which, after pouring, the concrete was scored to resemble stone. The building was closed in the 1950s. Indiana Landmarks has placed the building on its 10 Most Endangered Places in Indiana list.
