Camarillo, California
Camarillo is a city in Ventura County, California, USA. The population was 65,201 at the 2010 census, up from 57,084 at the 2000 census. The Ventura Freeway is the city's primary thoroughfare. Camarillo is named for Adolfo and Juan Camarillo, two of the few Californios (pre-1848 California natives of Hispanic ancestry) to preserve the city's heritage after the arrival of Anglo settlers. As with most cities in Ventura County, it is noted for its resistance to new development.

Conejo Valley
The Conejo Valley is a region spanning both southeastern Ventura County and northwestern Los Angeles County in Southern California, United States. It was discovered in 1542 by Portuguese explorer Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, and eventually became part of the Rancho El Conejo land grant by the Spanish government (in Spanish conejo means "rabbit", and refers to the rabbits common to the region, specifically the Desert Cottontail and Brush Rabbit species).

The grant derives its name from the secularized Mission San Buenaventura, and was called ex-Mission because of a division made of the lands held in the name of the Mission — the church retaining the grounds immediately around, and all of the lands outside of this are called ex-Mission lands.
South Mountain Oil Field
The South Mountain Oil Field is a large and productive oil field in Ventura County, California, in the United States, in and adjacent to the city of Santa Paula. Discovered in 1916, and having a cumulative production of over 158 million barrels of oil, it is the 37th largest oil field in California and the second largest in Ventura County. As of the beginning of 2009, it retains 316 active wells, and has an estimated 1.4 million barrels of oil remaining recoverable with current technology.

Rancho Santa Clara del Norte was a 13,989-acre Mexican land grant in present day Ventura County, California given in 1837 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to Juan Maria Sanchez. The grant extended along the south bank of the Santa Clara River, east of present day Oxnard and encompasses El Rio.
Rancho Las Posas
Rancho Las Posas was a 26,623-acre Mexican land grant in present day Ventura County, California given in 1834 by Governor José Figueroa to José Antonio Carrillo. The grant extends along the Simi Valley from near present day Moorpark to Camarillo. Rancho Simi borders it on the east, the Rancho Calleguas on the south, Rancho Santa Clara del Norte on the west, and a range of mountains on the north.
Santa Clara Avenue Oil Field
The Santa Clara Avenue Oil Field is an oil field in Ventura County, California, about six miles southeast of the city of Ventura and four miles northeast of Oxnard. It is produced entirely from two walled drilling islands along Santa Clara Avenue, each containing multiple directionally drilled wells. The field is within an agricultural area being encroached on several sides by urban development.
