Los Angeles Valley College

Los Angeles Valley College is a community college located in the Valley Glen district of Los Angeles, California in the east-central San Fernando Valley. The school is a part of the Los Angeles Community College District. The community college is adjacent to Grant High School. Often called "Valley College" or simply "Valley" by those who frequent the campus, it opened its doors to the public on September 12, 1949, at which time the campus was located on the site of Van Nuys High School.

Van Nuys (train station)

The Van Nuys Amtrak/Metrolink Station is an Amtrak and Metrolink rail station in the community of Van Nuys in Los Angeles, California. The station is served by Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego, Amtrak's Coast Starlight from Los Angeles Union Station to Seattle, Washington, and Metrolink's Ventura County Line from Los Angeles Union Station to East Ventura. Ten Pacific Surfliner trains serve the station daily and 20 Metrolink trains serve the station each weekday.

Charter High School of the Arts

Charter High School of the Arts Multimedia and Performing (or CHAMPS) is a public high school that operates on the campus of the First Lutheran Church of Van Nuys and in the nearby Phoenix office building. The campuses are located at 6952 and 6842 Van Nuys Boulevard, in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California, USA. Though it shares the church campus with a Lutheran church, the activities are different. It is operated as a Charter High School. Dr. Norman Isaacs began CHAMPS high school in 2005.

Tillman Water Reclamation Plant

The Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant is a water reclamation plant located in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, Southern California, USA designed by California architect Anthony J Lumsden. It is home to The Japanese Garden, which has been used as a backdrop in films and TV, including Star Trek's Starfleet Academy. The facility purifies waste water, removing it from the sewer system and so reduces the need for large sewer pipes below it.

Woodley Park (Los Angeles, California)
