Floyd County, Indiana

Floyd County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of 2010, the population was 74,578. The county seat is New Albany. Floyd County is the county with the second smallest land area in the entire state. It was formed in the year 1819 from neighboring counties Clark County, Indiana, and Harrison County, Indiana. Floyd County is part of the Louisville/Jefferson County, KY–IN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

WDRB is the Fox-affiliated television station in Louisville, Kentucky. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 49 from a transmitter in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Owned by Block Communications, WDRB is sister to MyNetworkTV affiliate WMYO and operates CW affiliate WBKI-TV (owned by L.M. Communications, LLC) through a local marketing agreement. WDRB maintains studios on West Muhammad Ali Bloulevard in downtown Louisville.

Floyds Knobs, Indiana

Floyds Knobs is a small unincorporated town in Lafayette Township, Floyd County, Indiana. Historically a farming community on the outskirts of New Albany, it has since become a bedroom community for Louisville, Kentucky, containing subdivisions, farms, small shopping centers and churches, and transmitters for many of the area's television and radio stations. It is also the location of Floyd Central High School.

WTFX-FM (93.1 FM, "93.1 The Fox") is a rock music formatted radio station in Louisville, Kentucky licensed to serve Clarksville, Indiana, USA. It started broadcasting in 1993 at 100.5 MHz. Clear Channel Communications purchased the station in the late 1990s. The frequency was changed to 93.1 MHz in 2005.

WFPL is a 24-hour listener-supported, noncommercial radio station in Louisville, Kentucky, broadcasting at 89.3 MHz and focusing on news. The station is the flagship National Public Radio station for the Louisville market. WFPL is now owned by Louisville Public Media and was originally owned by the Louisville Free Public Library. When the station came on the air in 1950, it was the first library-owned radio station in the country.
