Gurnee, Illinois
Gurnee is a village in Lake County, Illinois, United States. The population was 31,295 at the 2010 census. The village borders the city of Waukegan and is considered a part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Gurnee is perhaps best known for being the location of Six Flags Great America, a major regional theme park. The village is home to many Chicago Bears players, including NFL recordholder Devin Hester. Gurnee has benefited from its location as the midway point between Milwaukee and Chicago.

Six Flags purchased the park from the Marriott Corporation in 1984, making it the seventh park in the chain. As of 2012, the park has nine themed sections, a 16-acre water park, two specially themed children's areas, and various other forms of entertainment.
Batman: The Ride
Batman: The Ride is a steel inverted roller coaster found in many Six Flags theme parks including Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags St. Louis, and Six Flags Over Texas. Built by Bolliger & Mabillard, the rides feature a height of between 100 and 105 feet (and m) and reach top speeds of 50 miles per hour .
Lakehurst Mall
Lakehurst Mall was the first regional shopping complex in the northern Chicago suburb county of Lake County. The mall officially opened in 1971. It was built to service the growing town of Waukegan, the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, and the northern suburban sprawl of Chicago. After several years of decline, Lakehurst closed in 2001, and was demolished in 2004.
Raging Bull (roller coaster)
The Raging Bull is a Bolliger & Mabillard hyper-twister steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. It was built in 1999, and features a 208-foot first drop and top speed of 73 miles per hour, and is currently one of the most popular rides at Six Flags Great America. At 5,057 feet in length, it is the longest roller coaster at Six Flags Great America.

Ragin' Cajun opened in May 2004 as part of a new "Mardi-Gras" section at Six Flags Great America.

Spacely's Sprocket Rockets is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. This is a junior coaster with a height restriction of only 36 inches . It is a Vekoma "roller-skater" model roller coaster. It is located in the Camp Cartoon section of the park, in Yukon Territory, as the headline attraction. It is themed to The Jetsons. Spaceleys is the second junior-coaster built at the park.
Viper (Six Flags Great America)
Viper is a wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, which opened in 1995. Viper features a layout that is a mirror image of the Coney Island Cyclone and is the only roller coaster ever to be built directly by Six Flags. Viper is also the only wooden roller coaster that has ever carried this name, (all the other Viper roller coasters, both operating and not, have been steel roller coasters). It was built by Rygiel Construction.
Vertical Velocity (roller coaster)
Vertical Velocity (V2) is an inverted steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. Manufactured by Intamin under the trade name Twisted Impulse Coaster, this launched shuttle-style coaster, located in the Yankee Harbor section of the park, has been operating since May 18, 2001. The coaster's single seven-car (28-passenger) train runs along a 200 m (656 ft) U-shaped track, incorporating two 185-foot vertical spikes.
Shockwave (Six Flags Great America)
Shockwave (sometimes written as ShockWave or Shock Wave) was a large roller coaster manufactured by Arrow Dynamics at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. Standing 170 feet tall and reaching speeds of 65 miles per hour, it opened in 1988 as the world's tallest and fastest looping roller coaster with an impressive seven inversions: three vertical loops, a boomerang, and two regular corkscrews.
Space Shuttle America
Space Shuttle America (also known as Space Shuttle America - The Next Century) was a motion simulator ride at the Six Flags Great America theme park in Gurnee, Illinois, that opened in 1994. The ride's main feature was a full-scale replica of an American Space Shuttle orbiter. It closed permanently after the 2007 season and was removed in December 2009.
Waukegan High School
Waukegan High School, or WHS, is a public, four-year high school located in Waukegan, Illinois, USA, a city to the North of Chicago, Illinois. WHS first opened its doors in 1870. Today, the Brookside Campus extends from Berwick Avenue to McAree Road, and from Brookside Avenue to the center line of Monroe Street. In an effort to accommodate approximately 4,000 students, Waukegan High School expanded to include the Washington Campus (EAST) at 1011 Washington Street.

It's located about halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a 40 minute drive either way, and near Six Flags Great America. It is a single-level Z-shaped mall. At 1,800,000 square feet of gross leasable area, it is the fourth largest mall in Illinois, and is visited by more than 20 million people each year. Gurnee Mills opened on August 8, 1991.

Little Dipper is a wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Great America, an amusement park in Gurnee, Illinois. Little Dipper was built in 1950 by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters and previously operated at Kiddieland Amusement Park in Melrose Park, Illinois in the Chicago metropolitan area until Kiddieland closed in September 2009. On November 24, 2009, Six Flags Great America purchased the ride for $33,000 at an auction of Kiddieland's rides.
X-Flight (Six Flags Great America)
X-Flight is a steel roller coaster in the Country Fair section of Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. Designed and built by Bolliger & Mabillard, the ride opened as the fourth Wing Coaster in the world and the second in the United States on May 16, 2012. It replaced the Splashwater Falls water ride and the Great American Raceway car ride. The 3,000-foot long ride features barrel rolls and high-speed drops.
