Otago Region
Otago is a region of New Zealand in the south of the South Island. The region covers an area of approximately 32,000 square kilometres making it the country's third largest region. The population of Otago is 211,300 from the June 2012 estimate. The name "Otago" is an old southern Maori word whose North Island dialect equivalent is "Otakou", introduced to the south by Europeans in the 1840s.
Water of Leith (New Zealand)
The Water of Leith (also known as the River Leith or Leith Stream), is a small river in the South Island of New Zealand. It rises to the north of the city of Dunedin, flowing for 14 kilometres southeast through the northern part of the city and the campus of the University of Otago before reaching the Otago Harbour.
Dunedin Railway Station
Dunedin Railway Station is located in Dunedin, in New Zealand's South Island. Designed by George Troup, the station is the fourth building to have served as Dunedin's railway station. It earned its architect the nickname of "Gingerbread George".

Bayfield High School, Dunedin
Bayfield High School is a co-educational high school in Dunedin, New Zealand. It was established in 1961 and is located on the corner of Musselburgh Rise and Shore Street, adjacent to the Otago Harbour. The school currently has approximately 700 students. There are five houses with approximately 160 students in each house. The houses are Anderson, Begg, Herron, Ross and Somerville.

Tahuna Normal Intermediate School is a school for Year 7 (Form One) and Year 8 (Form Two) students, based in Saint Kilda, Dunedin, New Zealand. It is located near Saint Kilda Beach. It has a Principal: Tony Hunter, Deputy Principal: Keith Hutton, 22 teachers, teacher aids and Dunedin College of Education student teachers. It has a compulsory school uniform policy and most students are aged from 11 – 13 years. Most subjects are taught by class teachers.
Ocean Beach Railway
The Ocean Beach Railway (OBR) is a heritage railway that operates in Dunedin, New Zealand. It is located between John Wilson Drive in the suburb of Saint Kilda and sports grounds near Forbury Park Raceway, and runs parallel with the city's main beach, Ocean Beach. This is near where the Ocean Beach Branch once ran, but not on the same formation. The OBR can claim three notable distinctions.
Princes Street, Dunedin
Princes Street (often misspelt as "Princess Street") is a major street in Dunedin, the second largest city in the South Island of New Zealand. It runs south-southwest for two kilometres from The Octagon in the city centre to the Oval sports ground, close to the city's Southern Cemetery. North of The Octagon, George Street continues the line of Princes Street north-northeast for two and a half kilometres.
4XO
Radio 4XO was a local radio station in Dunedin, New Zealand which began in October 1971 as one of the first privately owned commercial radio stations in the country. The callsign/station identity 4XO was assigned because 4 meant the area south of Canterbury, the X meant private (not a government station) and O stood for the province Otago. The station was originally known as "Radio Otago 4XO" and was always involved in local events and was one of Dunedin's most well-known and popular stations.
Edgar Centre
The Edgar Centre is a large multi-purpose indoor sports venue in South Dunedin, New Zealand, on the shore of Otago Harbour close to Andersons Bay Inlet. It is the home venue of the Otago Nuggets basketball team, and an alternate venue for the Southern Steel netball team. The centre also hosts a wide variety of other sports events and community events such as auctions and fairs, and is owned by the Dunedin City Council.
Cumberland College, Otago
Cumberland College is a residential college in Dunedin, New Zealand for the University of Otago. Cumberland College was established as a hall of residence in 1989. It is located in the former Dunedin Hospital Nurses' Home, built in 1916, across the road from Dunedin Hospital and the Queen Mary Maternity Hospital. Cumberland College is linked by underground tunnels to both Dunedin Hospital and Hayward College(formerly the maternity hospital).
Toitū Otago Settlers Museum
The Toitū Otago Settlers Museum is a regional history museum in Dunedin, New Zealand. Its brief covers the territory of the old Otago Province, that is, New Zealand from the Waitaki River south. It is New Zealand's oldest and most extensive history museum. It is located in the heart of the city close to other prominent buildings such as the Dunedin Railway Station, some 500 metres from the city centre.

The Robertson Library (formerly known as the Bill Robertson Library) is a library of the University of Otago in New Zealand. There is also a resource centre in Alexandra, Central Otago.
Emerson's Brewery
Emerson's Brewery Limited is a microbrewery located in Dunedin, New Zealand established in 1993. Emerson's produces eight year-round beers and three seasonal beers. In November 2012 the brewery was purchased by Australasian company Lion.
93Rox
93 Rox was a local Rock radio station in Dunedin, New Zealand that broadcast on 93.4 FM between 1992 and 1997. The station was started by Radio Otago and broadcast from Radio Otago House in Dunedin where local Dunedin station 4XO was based. In 1997 Radio Otago purchased Christchurch station C93FM and in August 1997 93 Rox became C93FM. At this point the programme was networked to Invercargill on 90.8FM but remained independent from the Christchurch C93FM.
Andersons Bay
Andersons Bay (sometimes spelt in the grammatically correct former form Anderson's Bay, and usually known locally simply as "Andy Bay") is a suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located in the southeast of the city's urban area, 2.8 kilometres southeast of the city's centre.
Hayward College
Hayward College is one of 13 residential colleges in Dunedin, New Zealand. Hayward College was developed from the former Queen Mary Maternity Hospital in 1992. It was named after brother and sister Jock and Vera Hayward, who had long associations with the University and the Hospital respectively. Hayward is now a modern 5-storey 162-bedroom residential college boasting the biggest and brightest rooms on campus. The College is administered by the University of Otago.
Forsyth Barr Stadium
The Forsyth Barr Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand. At various stages of development it was also known as Dunedin Stadium, Awatea Street Stadium, New Carisbrook, or its non-commercial official name during the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Otago Stadium. It is also known colloquially as 'The Glasshouse' due to its resemblance to a horticultural hot house.
Musselburgh, New Zealand
Musselburgh is a residential suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located in the southeast of the city's urban area, 2.8 kilometres southeast of the city's centre, and at the narrowest point of the isthmus which joins Otago Peninsula to the rest of the South Island (here just 1.5 kilometres in width). The suburb takes its name from the similarly named town in Scotland. Musselburgh's 2001 population was 2,835.
South Dunedin
South Dunedin is a major inner city suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located, as its name suggests, 2.5 kilometres to the south of the city centre, on part of a large plain known locally simply as "The Flat". The suburb is a mix of industrial, retail, and predominantly lower-quality residential properties. South Dunedin's 2006 population was 2,490, a decrease of 48 people from 2001.
Dunedin Chinese Garden
The Dunedin Chinese Garden, is located in the city of Dunedin in southern New Zealand. It is sited next to the Otago Settlers' Museum close to the centre of the city and numerous other of the city's tourist attractions, including the Dunedin Railway Station and Queen's Gardens.
Shiel Hill
Shiel Hill is a residential suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located at the southeastern edge of the city's urban area, 3.2 kilometres southeast of the city's centre at the western end of the Otago Peninsula, close to the isthmus joining the peninsula to the mainland. As the name suggests, it is situated on the slopes of a hill at the start of the ridge which runs along the spine of the peninsula.
Andersons Bay Cemetery
Andersons Bay Cemetery is a major cemetery in the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located 4 kilometres to the southeast of the city centre, on a rocky outcrop which forms the inland part of Lawyer's Head, a promontory which juts into the Pacific Ocean. The cemetery is bounded on the western and southern sides by Chisholm Park Golf Course, and to the east by steep slopes which descend to the Tomahawk Lagoon.
Dunedin Casino
The Dunedin Casino opened in 1999 in the city of Dunedin in New Zealand. It is located in The Exchange, 0.5 kilometres south of the city centre, in the Southern Cross Hotel building. The Gambling Commission suspended the casino's license for two days in 2006, after it was found to have let a woman gamble $6.6 million over a three-year period.
Alfred Charles Hanlon
Alfred Charles Hanlon, K.C. , also known as Alf Hanlon, (1 August 1866–6 February 1944) was a New Zealand lawyer, who, according to the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography, "was one of the most outstanding criminal advocates in New Zealand's history". He was born in Dunedin, New Zealand, where he lived and died, though he represented clients nationwide.
