Dunedin
Dunedin is the second-largest city in the South Island of New Zealand, and the principal city of the Otago Region. While Tauranga, Napier-Hastings and Hamilton have eclipsed the city in population in recent years to make it only the seventh largest city in New Zealand, Dunedin is still considered to be one of the four main cities of New Zealand for historic, cultural, and geographic reasons.
Carrington College, Otago
Carrington College is a residential college of the University of Otago. This complex of buildings has accommodation for 242 male and female students and was opened in 1945. It was the first university hall of residence in Australasia to accept both men and women students. It is named for G.W. Carrington, a former head of the Otago Education Board. The current Warden is Ashley Day, replacing David King in 2007. The college was known as Carrington Hall until 2006.
Otago Boys' High School
Otago Boys' High School (OBHS) is one of New Zealand's oldest boys' secondary schools, located in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. It was founded on 3 August 1863 and moved to its present site in 1885. The main building was designed by Robert Lawson and is regarded as one of the finest Gothic revival structures in the country. Situated on high ground above central Dunedin it commands excellent views of the city and is a prominent landmark.

Otago Girls' High School (OGHS) is a secondary school in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. It was opened 6 February 1871, after a long campaign by Learmonth Whyte Dalrymple. It is reputedly the oldest girls state-run secondary school in Australasia and the sixth oldest of its type in the world.
St. Hilda's Collegiate School
Saint Hilda's Collegiate School is a girls' secondary school in Dunedin, New Zealand. Founded as an Anglican school in 1896 by the first bishop of Dunedin, Bishop Samuel Nevill and staffed by the Sisters of the Church. The sisters withdrew from the school in the 1930s. St. Hilda's is the only school of the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin. It is integrated into the New Zealand state school system.

Meridian Mall, Dunedin
The Meridian Mall is a large shopping complex in Dunedin, New Zealand designed by ASA Crone Architects, an Australian development company. At 16,000 m it is the largest retail mall in the southern South Island, and one of the largest in the South Island as a whole. The mall was constructed in 1995-1997 behind the former Arthur Barnett building in George Street which was designed by Edmund Anscombe (1874-1948) and completed in 1924.
Globe Theatre, Dunedin
The Globe Theatre is the name of a theatre located in Dunedin, New Zealand, and the amateur theatre company that runs it. The theatre was built in 1961 by Patric and Rosalie Carey as an extension of their house, at a time when professional theatre was virtually non-existent in New Zealand. The theatre is notable for premiering all of James K. Baxter’s plays. The building to which it is attached, at 104 London Street, was designed by William Mason (architect) as his own house and built in 1864.
King Edward Technical College
King Edward Technical College is the former name for a school and technical college in Dunedin, New Zealand, which was established as the Dunedin Technical School in 1889 when the Caledonian Society instigated night education classes. Originally run from Great King Street, it offered classes in carpentry, chemistry, cookery, domestic economy, typewriting, and woodcarving, with courses expanding by 1895 to include dressmaking, navigation, and plumbing.
Moana Pool
Moana Pool is the largest swimming pool in the southern half of New Zealand's South Island. It is located at the corner of Littlebourne Road and Upper Stuart Street close to Otago Boys' High School, on the slopes of Roslyn, overlooking the centre of the city of Dunedin. The pool complex can be seen from much of the city, and commands extensive views over central and coastal Dunedin.

Arthur Street Cemetery
Arthur Street cemetery was the first cemetery built in Dunedin, New Zealand. It is situated on the City Rise, on the corner of Arthur Street and Rattray Street, on the slopes overlooking the city's centre, which lies 500 metres to the east. The first burial at the site was of surveyor's labourer James Campbell, buried on October 29, 1846, over a year before the settlement of Dunedin was founded in 1848.
Wakari
Wakari is a residential suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located 2.5 kilometres to the northwest of the city centre, immediately to the west of the ridge which runs to the west of the city's centre. Wakari lies to the north of the upper reaches of the Kaikorai Valley, and is also north of the suburb of Kaikorai. The suburbs of Roslyn and Maori Hill are situated on the ridge immediately to the southeast and east of Wakari.
City Rise
City Rise is an inner suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. One of the city's older suburbs, it is, as its name suggests, centred on the slopes which lie close to the city centre, particularly those closest to the city's original heart of The Exchange (for this reason, places are said to be on the City Rise rather that in City Rise). Extensive views across the central city can be gained from much of City Rise.
Maori Hill
Maori Hill is a residential suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located at the northern end of the ridge which runs in a crescent around the central city's western edge, 2 kilometres to the northwest of the city centre, immediately above and within the Town Belt. It is connected to Dunedin North, which lies to the east, via Drivers Road, the suburbs of Roslyn and Kaikorai to the southwest via Highgate, and the suburb of Wakari to the northwest via Balmacewen Road.
Knox Church, Dunedin
Knox Church is a notable building in Dunedin, New Zealand. It houses the city's second Presbyterian congregation and is the city's largest church of any denomination. Situated close to the university at the northern end of the CBD on George Street it is visible from much of the central city. It was designed by Robert Lawson in the 13th century Gothic style and construction began in 1872. It is the second building for the congregation.
Ross Creek Reservoir
The Ross Creek Reservoir is an artificial lake in Dunedin, New Zealand. One of the oldest artificial lakes in the country, and the oldest water supply reservoir still in use in the country, it was created in the 1860s to provide water for the city of Dunedin, at that time in the middle of rapid expansion due to the Otago goldrush.

Roslyn is a major residential and retail suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located 150 metres above the city centre on the ridge which runs in a crescent around the central city's western edge. It is 2.5 kilometres to the northwest of the city centre, immediately above the Town Belt. Roslyn's 2001 population was 3,957. Roslyn is connected to the city's CBD via Stuart Street and City Road.
Roslyn Overbridge
The Roslyn Overbridge (also known as Roslyn Bridge or Highgate Bridge) is a landmark in the New Zealand city of Dunedin. Located 2.5 kilometres northwest of the city's centre, it allows for the passage of the arterial Upper Stuart Street under Highgate, the main suburban road which runs along the ridge of hills which surrounds the city centre. The bridge, constructed in 1954 consists of a single arch, and lies at the heart of one of the city's more complex interchanges.
