Moreno Partido is a partido of the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, within the Gran Buenos Aires urban agglomerate. It has an area of 186 square kilometres, and a population of 462,242. Its named after Argentine politician Mariano Moreno.

Moreno is a city in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is the head town of Moreno Partido. It forms part of the Greater Buenos Aires urban conurbation and is located around 36 km to the west of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires. According to the 2001 census, the population was 148,290. Merlo is a partido of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is located in Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina, west of the city of Buenos Aires. Its capital is the city of Merlo. The region of the present-day partido was colonized shortly after the second, and permanent founding of Buenos Aires (1580). In 1730 an interim parish was founded near the estancia (landholding) of Francisco de Merlo. In 1755 Merlo founded the town of Villa San Antonio del Camino, which was renamed later in his honour.

Marcos Paz is a partido in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires. Its capital city is Marcos Paz. Established on 25 October 1878 (provincial law 1244), Marcos Paz is located at the eastern border of the Greater Buenos Aires with the rest of the province, although on an administrative sense, it is not considered part of the metropolitan area. According to the 2001 INDEC National Census, the partido has 43,400 inhabitants, and a population density of 92.34 people per square kilometre.

Merlo is the head town of the eponymous partido of Merlo and seat of the municipal government, located in the Greater Buenos Aires urban area. The city was founded by Francisco de Merlo in 1755 and rebuilt by Juan Dillon in 1859. Merlo is divided in two distinctive regions: Merlo Centro, a middle class district clustered around the train station; and the working class barrios, most of them along the Reconquista River.

Grupo VYCEA is the Spanish acronym for Grupo Vigilancia y Control del Espacio Aéreo (English: Air Space's Surveillance and Control Group). Grupo VYCEA is a group of the Argentine Air Force, headquartered at Parque San Martín, Merlo since 1952. Grupo VYCEA, or just VYCEA, operates a military radar base that occupies a total area of 240 Ha. The core of the base is an old radar bought to Bendix Corporation in 1976.

It is named after former Argentine football player, José Manuel Moreno.
Battle of Márquez Bridge
The Battle of Márquez Bridge, fought on 26 April 1829, during the civil war between Unitarians and Federalists, resulting in a victory for the Federal Party forces of Juan Manuel de Rosas and the governor of Santa Fe Province, Estanislao López, over general Juan Lavalle, who had usurped the office of Governor of Buenos Aires Province.
National University of the West
The National University of the West (Spanish: Universidad Nacional del Oeste, UNO) is an Argentine national university, situated in San Antonio de Padua, Merlo Partido, Buenos Aires Province. It was established on November 11, 2009, by National Law 26,544. The campus was formally inaugurated on September 16, 2011 - the 35th anniversary of the "night of the pencils" assault against a group of left-wing La Plata students at the height of the Dirty War.
