Moreno Partido is a partido of the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, within the Gran Buenos Aires urban agglomerate. It has an area of 186 square kilometres, and a population of 462,242. Its named after Argentine politician Mariano Moreno.

Merlo is a partido of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is located in Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina, west of the city of Buenos Aires. Its capital is the city of Merlo. The region of the present-day partido was colonized shortly after the second, and permanent founding of Buenos Aires (1580). In 1730 an interim parish was founded near the estancia (landholding) of Francisco de Merlo. In 1755 Merlo founded the town of Villa San Antonio del Camino, which was renamed later in his honour.

Grupo VYCEA is the Spanish acronym for Grupo Vigilancia y Control del Espacio Aéreo (English: Air Space's Surveillance and Control Group). Grupo VYCEA is a group of the Argentine Air Force, headquartered at Parque San Martín, Merlo since 1952. Grupo VYCEA, or just VYCEA, operates a military radar base that occupies a total area of 240 Ha. The core of the base is an old radar bought to Bendix Corporation in 1976.

It is currently used primarily for football matches and hosts the home matches of Primera B Nacional Argentina club, Club Social y Deportivo Merlo. The capacity of the stadium is 5,000 spectators. It is named after former Argentine football player, José Manuel Moreno.
Battle of Márquez Bridge
The Battle of Márquez Bridge, fought on 26 April 1829, during the civil war between Unitarians and Federalists, resulting in a victory for the Federal Party forces of Juan Manuel de Rosas and the governor of Santa Fe Province, Estanislao López, over general Juan Lavalle, who had usurped the office of Governor of Buenos Aires Province.
