Pukë District
The District of Pukë (Albanian: Rrethi i Pukës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Shkodër County. It has a population of 24,323 (2010 estimate), and an area of 1,034 km². The District of Tropoja (Albanian: Rrethi i Tropojës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Kukës County. It has a population of 16,260 (2010 estimate), and an area of 1,043 km². It is in the north of the country, and its capital is Bajram Curri. The area is also known for its massive chestnuts forests and the Valbonë river, as well a rich folk culture. The district consists of the following communes: Bujan Bytyç Fierzë Lekbibaj Llugaj Margegaj Tropojë
Valbonë (river)
The Valbonë or Valbona is a river in northern Albania. It is still relatively untouched. Its source is in the Prokletije, near the border with Montenegro. The Valbonë flows generally east through the municipality Margegaj (mountain villages Valbonë, Dragobi and Shoshan), then turns south along Bajram Curri, and continues southwest until its outflow into the river Drin, near Fierzë. It is one of the cleanest rivers in the country. The river creates and goes along the Valbonë valley
Maja e Hekurave
Maja e Hekurave is a mountain in the Prokletije in the country of Albania. At 2,561 m, it is one of the highest peaks in the mountain range. Maja Hekurave is a popular tourist spot.
Maja e Ershellit
Maja e Ershellit is a mountain in Albania. The mountain, rising 2,065 m high, is located in the Prokletije. It is situated north of the lake of Koman.
Maja e Kakisë
Maja e Kakisë a mountain in the north of Albania. Maja e Kakisë is 2,357m high. It is located in the south of the large Prokletije not far from the smaller Maja e Ershellit which is found even more towards the south bordering the long Drin River.
Paqe Island
Paqe Island (Albanian: Ishulli i Paqes; meaning 'Island of Peace') is a small island located in the Lake Koman in the north of Albania. It is found in one of the lake's river canyons. Paqe Island is only 160m long. The lake is small with many trees on top of it. There are many islands in Lake Fierza as well as in Lake Koman in northern Albania that are much larger and more stony tectured than Paqe Islands sandy ground.
