Scott County, Tennessee
Scott County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It was created in 1849 from portions of Anderson, Campbell, Fentress and Morgan counties and named for General Winfield Scott. In 2000, the population was 21,127. Its county seat is Huntsville. Scott County is known for having seceded from the Confederacy during the Civil War and subsequently forming The Free and Independent State of Scott.

Helenwood is an unincorporated community in Scott County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 846 at the 2000 census, when Helenwood was treated as an incorporated municipality. For the 2010 census, it was a census designated place (CDP) with a population of 865.
Scott Municipal Airport
Scott Municipal Airport is a public-use airport located four nautical miles (7 km) southwest of the central business district of Oneida, a city in Scott County, Tennessee, United States. The airport is owned by Scott County. It located adjacent to the Big South Fork Airpark, a gated community and residential airpark. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned SCX by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.
State of Scott
The State of Scott was the result of a secessionist movement by Scott County, which officially passed a proclamation during the American Civil War to secede from Tennessee and form the Free and Independent State of Scott in protest of the state's separation from the United States. Scott became an enclave community of the Union within Tennessee. Although its edict had never been officially recognized by any government, the county didn't officially rescind its act of secession until 1986.
