Valhalla Golf Club
Valhalla Golf Club, located east of Louisville, Kentucky, USA, is a private golf club designed by professional golfer Jack Nicklaus. The course, which sits on a 486-acre property on Shelbyville Road in the eastern portion of Louisville just outside the Gene Snyder Freeway, was envisioned by local business leader Dwight Gahm (pronounced "game") and his three sons in 1981, and opened in 1986. Keith Reese is the PGA professional. In 1992, Valhalla was named as host of the 1996 PGA Championship.

Berrytown is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky centered along English Station Road. It is named for Alfred Berry, an early settler who bought a 10-acre parcel in 1874. 2000 PGA Championship
The 2000 PGA Championship was the 82nd PGA Championship, held from August 17–20 at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. It was the second time for the event at Valhalla, which hosted four years earlier in 1996. Tiger Woods won his second straight PGA Championship and fifth major in a three-hole playoff over Bob May. Woods and May finished at 18 under par to set the PGA Championship record to par, later equaled by Woods in 2006.
1996 PGA Championship
The 1996 PGA Championship was the 78th PGA Championship, held from August 8–11 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Mark Brooks won his only major championship with a birdie at the first hole of a sudden-death playoff with Kentucky native Kenny Perry. It was the final sudden-death playoff at the PGA Championship, which changed to a three-hole aggregate playoff in 2000, used in its first year at Valhalla.
