Camden is located 65 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district and is the administrative centre for the local government area of Camden Council. It lies on the fringe of the Sydney Metropolitan area and is close to the Sydney suburb of Campbelltown.
Bents Basin State Recreation Area
Bents Basin is a State Conservation Area (SCA) near Wallacia, New South Wales, Australia within the Sydney basin geographical region. The site was originally a small natural basin formed in an erosion basin banked by sandstone outcrops, considerably enlarged with a large earth fill dam constructed by the Army's 17th Construction Squadron in 1987-88. Bents Basin SCA is a popular swimming location with a camping area and an education centre utilised by local school groups.
