Newcastle railway station, New South Wales
Newcastle Railway Station (also known as Newcastle Terminal) is the main railway station in Newcastle, New South Wales. It offers regular services to Sydney on the Newcastle and Central Coast line and to Maitland, Scone and Dungog on the Hunter line. Newcastle railway station is three hours' travel from Sydney's Central Station. It is a terminating and departing station and situated at the end of the Newcastle branch line.

State Dockyard
The State Dockyard at Dykes Point, Newcastle was built by the New South Wales Government from 1938 until 1941 and opened in 1942 during World War II. The dockyard was constructed using much of the plant and buildings from the former Walsh Island Dockyard and Engineering Works which had ceased operations in 1933. The dockyard launched its first vessel in July 1943.

Newcastle City Hall is a heritage-listed building in Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. The buiding, located in King Street, was designed by noted theatre architect Henry Eli White and the foundation stone was laid by Governor of New South Wales Sir Dudley de Chair on 20 April 1928. The three-storey building structure is based on a steel frame that supports concrete floors and stone cladding.
University House (Newcastle)

Located on the corner of King Street and Auckland Street, it was designed by architect Emil Sodersten in association with local architectural practice Pitt and Mereweather. An example of Art Deco style, the design was inspired by the streamlined functionalism of contemporary architecture in Europe.
