Shellharbour, New South Wales
Shellharbour is a city located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. It also gives its name to the local government area, City of Shellharbour. The suburb is centred on the small recreational harbour named Shell Harbour. It has two main beaches, Shellharbour Beach, which runs to Barrack Point and Shellharbour South Beach, which runs toward Bass Point. Shellharbour is undergoing extensive development with many new retail outlets and units being constructed.
Minnamurra railway station
Minnamurra is a station on the CityRail South Coast line. Located between the Kiama Golf Club and the Minnamurra Public School, it serves the suburbs of Minnamurra and Kiama Downs. The station was opened on 23 December 1891, but was moved to its present site in 1943, opening on 10 October of that year. In 2001, the Illawarra line was electrified between Dapto and Kiama.
Dunmore railway station
Dunmore (Shellharbour) is a CityRail railway station on the South Coast railway line. It serves the suburb of Dunmore as well as being an indirect rail link to the suburb of Shellharbour. When the station was built, opening on 9 November 1887, Shellharbour was a long way from the railway line, but has since grown and now borders the line.

Oak Flats is a station on the Cityrail South Coast line in New South Wales. It serves the suburb of Oak Flats. It is located on the single track section of the South Coast line between Unanderra and Bomaderry and has a single side platform.
Gainsborough, New South Wales
Gainsborough, New South Wales, Australia is a residential estate forming part of the suburb of Kiama Downs in the Municipality of Kiama. This is a relatively new urban area bordering Kiama Downs and Jamberoo. A new section of the Princes Highway was opened to the west of Gainsborough in late 2005. The name Gainsborough is derived from the original estate name of the development which was based on painters names, you can find many artists names in the suburban streets of Gainsborough.

Warilla High School is a New South Wales Department of Education and Training (DET) owned school located in the Illawarra local government area City of Shellharbour. The school is located in the suburb of Barrack Heights and there were suggestions of renaming the school to reflect the change in primary feeder schools. In early to late 2009 Warilla High underwent a major reconstruction with the funding of 6 new Science Labs.
City of Shellharbour
The City of Shellharbour is a local government area in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. The City is located about 100 kilometres south of Sydney and covers the southern suburbs of the Wollongong urban area centred around Shellharbour, and in 2009 had an estimated population of 66,905. The area is bordered by the City of Wollongong to the north, with the boundary being the Lake Illawarra entrance (and the suburb of Lake Illawarra) and Macquarie Rivulet.

Minnamurra, New South Wales
Minnamurra is a suburb in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia, in the Municipality of Kiama. It has a station (opened 1891) on CityRail South Coast line. The Minnamurra River flows into the ocean at Minnamurra. There is a sandy beach and a sand spit at the river mouth. The name Minnamurra means plenty of fish in the local Aboriginal dialect.

Sepia novaehollandiae is a species of cuttlefish native to the southern Indo-Pacific. Its natural range stretches from Shellharbour, New South Wales to North West Shelf in Western Australia . It lives at depths of between 15 and 348 m. S. novaehollandiae grows to a mantle length of 77 mm. The type specimen was collected off Kangaroo Island, South Australia . It is deposited at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris.
Kiama Downs, New South Wales
Kiama Downs is a coastal suburb of the town Kiama in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Renowned for its picturesque beach and beautiful seaside views, it is situated about 3 km north of Kiama and is bordered by the Minnamurra River to the northwest and Boyds Beach to the east. The western part of the suburb, west of Riverside Drive, is informally known as Gainsborough. Kiama Downs does not contain a school or a railway station.
Boyds Beach
Boyds Beach, commonly known as Jones Beach, forms the eastern border of Kiama Downs on the South Coast of New South Wales. It is a popular tourist spot and many surfing competitions are held there each year.
Minnamurra River
The Minnamurra River is a river in the Jamberoo and Kiama areas of the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Its drainage area (catchment) contains much of the Jamberoo Valley surrounded by Stockyard Mountain to the north, Jamberoo Mountain to the west and Noorinan and Saddleback Mountain to the south. Its mouth lies immediately north of the Kiama suburb of Minnamurra at Minnamurra Point. The entrance is characterised by a small island just offshore from the mouth.

Hawkesbury Packet
The Hawkesbury Packet was a sloop constructed for Solomon Wiseman that helped him 'rise' from being just a convict to a wealthy colonial landholder in Australia. Constructed in 1811, the Hawkesbury Packet was a 21 ton coastal trader. Prior to its final wrecking in 1817 it was blown ashore in 1816. On 24 May 1816 it sailed from Sydney to Newcastle but was hit by a gale and was forced into Port Stephens on 20 June 1816.
