Albania
Albania, officially known as the Republic of Albania, is a country in Southeastern Europe. It is bordered by Montenegro to the northwest, Kosovo to the northeast, Macedonia to the east and Greece to the south and southeast. Elbasan is a city in central Albania. The District of Elbasan (Albanian: Rrethi i Elbasanit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Elbasan County. It has a population of 224,689 (2010 estimate), and an area of 1,372 km². Peqin District
The District of Peqin (Albanian: Rrethi i Peqinit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Elbasan County. It has a population of 31,004 (2010 estimate), and an area of 109 km². It is in the centre of the country, and its capital is Peqin. There are two historical structures that are a reminder to the antiquity of the District of Peqin (which is the modern name of the district).

The Ruzhdi Bizhuta Stadium (Albanian: Stadium Ruzhdi Bizhuta) is a multi-use stadium in Elbasan, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KS Elbasani. The stadium holds 13,000 people.

The Massacre of Cërrik (Albanian: Masakra e Cërrikut) was the killing of army officers of the Garda e Republikës in Cërrik during the 1997 rebellion in Albania. The attack was led by two Socialist Party members, the head of the Socialist Party in Cërrik, Llazar Bici, and the deputy leaders of the Socialist Party, Met Bozi.
Jovan Vladimir
Jovan Vladimir or John Vladimir was the ruler of Duklja, the most powerful Serbian principality of the time, from around 1000 to 1016. He ruled during the protracted war between the Byzantine Empire and the First Bulgarian Empire. Vladimir was acknowledged as a pious, just, and peaceful ruler. He is recognized as a martyr and saint, with his feast day being celebrated on 22 May.
