Narromine
Narromine is a town located about 40 kilometres west of Dubbo in the Orana region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the centre of Narromine Shire. At the 2006 census, Narromine had a population of 3,599. The town name comes from a pastoral property, which in turn came from an Aboriginal word for 'honey person'. The first European to visit the district was John Oxley who traced the course of the Macquarie River in 1818.

Narromine Shire includes the towns of Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley. The Mayor of Narromine Shire Council is Cr. Bill McAnally, an independent politician.
Narromine railway station
Narromine is a closed railway station in the town of Narromine on the Main West railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened in 1882 and is now closed to passenger services, as passenger services now do not proceed past the town of Dubbo. The station survives in good condition and has been restored. To the west of Narromine station lies the junction of the branch-line to Parkes, which forms part of a cross country route to the Main South railway line at Cootamundra.
