Vlorë District
The District of Vlorë (Albanian: Rrethi i Vlorës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Vlorë County. Its population of 151,314 (2010 estimate). The district has a land area of 1,609 km². It is in the south-west of the country, and its capital is Vlorë. Its population includes a Greek minority.

Flamurtari Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Vlorë, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KS Flamurtari Vlorë. The stadium has a capacity of 13,000 people.

Oricum or Orikos (Greek: Ὤρικος or Ὠρικός) was an ancient Greek city in the northern part of Epirus, at the south end of the Bay of Vlorë. The city is an Archaeological Park of Albania.
Zvërnec Island
Zvërnec Island is an island within the Narta Lagoon in southern Albania. The island is nearly all covered with tall pine trees and is just east of a much smaller island. It is 430m in length and has a maximum width of 300m. Zvërnec Island is connected to the mainland by a 270m long wooden bridge. The island is a tourist attraction because it contains the well preserved 13th-14th century Byzantine Zvërnec Monastery. Near the island lies the village that bears the same name.
Shushicë (river)
The Shushicë is a river in southern Albania, tributary of the Vjosë. Its source is in the southeastern part of the Vlorë District, near the village Kuç, municipality Horë-Vranisht. It flows generally northwest through Brataj, Kotë and Shushicë and flows into the Vjosë near Armen, northeast of Vlorë. In late 1943 the area was the battlefield of the battle of Drashovica.

Bay of Vlorë
The Bay of Vlorë is a bay in southern Albania and the largest in the country. Studying the Bay of Vlorë has been one of the main projects of the navigation department of the University of Vlora in the last few years. The Bay of Vlorë is a very important place in world history, and was the scene, for example, of some of Caesar's battles. In one account, 18 ships full of merchandise have sunk in the Bay of Vlora.

It has an area of 62 km and has no population. It is 16 kilometres long with a width that varies from 3 to 4.5 kilometres (to mi).

Vlorë Air Base
Vlorë air base lies north of, and close to, the city of Vlorë. The city is located on the Adriatic coast, in the south of Albania. It was constructed in the 1950s. It is the home base for the Air Academy, which was first established in 1962. Since the base was occupied by rioters in 1997, the educational facilities have been refurbished. In 2001 the Air Academy merged with the airbase at Kuçovë to form the Akademia e Forcave Ajrore (Air Force Academy).
