Flint River (Georgia)

The Flint River is a 344-mile-long river in the U.S. state of Georgia. The river drains 8,460 square miles of western Georgia, flowing south from the upper Piedmont region south of Atlanta to the wetlands of the Gulf Coastal Plain in the southwestern corner of the state. Along with the Apalachicola and the Chattahoochee rivers, it forms part of the ACF basin. In its upper course through the red hills of the Piedmont it is considered especially scenic, flowing unimpeded for over 200 miles .

Fort McPherson

Fort McPherson was a U.S. Army military base located in East Point, Georgia, on the southwest edge of the City of Atlanta, Ga. Centennial Olympic Stadium

Centennial Olympic Stadium was the 85,000-seat main stadium of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. Construction of the stadium began in 1993, and it was complete and ready for the Opening Ceremony in July 1996, where it hosted track and field events and the closing ceremony. Lakewood Stadium

Lakewood Stadium is a 10,000 seat stadium located in the Lakewood Heights neighborhood of Southeast Atlanta, Georgia. The stadium is one of two stadiums owned and managed by the Atlanta Public Schools system, and it is also the largest. The other stadium is Grady Stadium. Lakewood stadium was the first high school stadium in the state of Georgia to have artificial turf. In 2005, the turf was replaced with a brand new synthetic turf called FieldTurf.
