Yugoslavia
Yugoslavia was a country in the western part of the Balkans during most of the 20th century. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia, which before 3 October 1929 was known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes was established on 1 December 1918 by the union of the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs and the Kingdom of Serbia (the Kingdom of Montenegro was annexed on 13 November 1918, and the Conference of Ambassadors in Paris gave international recognition to the union on 13 July 1922).
Kingdom of Yugoslavia
The Kingdom of Yugoslavia (Kraljevina Jugoslavija, Serbian Cyrillic: Краљевина Југославија) was a state straddling the Western Balkans and Central Europe, that existed during the interwar period (1918–1939) and first half of World War II (1939–1943). It was formed in 1918 by the merger of the provisional State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs (itself formed from territories of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire) with the formerly independent Kingdom of Serbia.

Palace Albanija is a highrise building in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the first skyscraper built in Southeast Europe. It is located at the north-west end of Terazije square. It was finished in 1940. It was designed by Miladin Prljević and Đorđe Lazarević, based on the 1938 project by Branko Bon and Milan Grakalić. It was the first highrise building in Belgrade and for a long time the highest one, domineering the architecture of Belgrade of the time.

National Museum of Serbia
The National Museum (Serbian: Народни музеј, Narodni Muzej) is the largest and oldest museum in Serbia. It is located in Republic Square, Belgrade, Serbia. The museum was established on May 10, 1844. Since it was founded, its collection has grown to over 400,000 objects, including many foreign masterpieces. Currently, the museum is closed for renovation. The National Museum building was declared a Monument of Culture of Great Importance in 1979.
Eurovision Song Contest 2008
The Eurovision Song Contest 2008 was the 53rd edition of the Contest. It was hosted in Belgrade, Serbia after Marija Šerifović won the 2007 Contest in Helsinki, Finland. This year was the first contest to have two semi-finals which were held on 20 and 22 May, and the final held on 24 May 2008. The shows were hosted by Jovana Janković and Željko Joksimović at the Belgrade Arena which had a total capacity of more than 20,000 seats. The host broadcaster was RTS. After a total of 272 points.
University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy
The University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy (Serbian: Филозофски факултет Универзитета у Београду), founded in the early 19th century within the Belgrade Higher School, is the oldest and most prominent institution of higher education in Serbia and among the oldest in the South-Eastern Europe.
Museum of Vuk and Dositej
The Museum of Vuk and Dositej (Serbian: Музеј Вука и Доситеја/Muzej Vuka i Dositeja) is one of the most important memorial museums in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Founded in 1949, it depicts the life, work and legacy of Vuk Stefanović Karadžić (1787–1864), the reformer of the Serbian language, and Dositej Obradović (1742–1811), a writer who was the country's first Minister of Education.
