Clare Valley

Watervale, South Australia
Watervale is a town in the Clare Valley, South Australia, approximately 9 kilometres north of Auburn and 15 kilometres south of Clare. It is surrounded by a number of small wineries and several B&Bs. The Riesling Trail runs past the town to the west, between the Main North Road and the Skilly Hills. The town has a number of 19th century heritage buildings, including the former Stanley Grammar School, which is now a private residence.

Spring Gully Conservation Park
Spring Gully Conservation Park is a conservation park in the Skilly Hills, west of the Clare Valley in South Australia. It provides views to the west across the northern end of the Adelaide Plains. There are walking tracks ranging from easy to quite steep within the park. The park was originally created to protect the only stand of Red Stringybark trees in South Australia - E. macrorhincha is widespread in eastern Victoria and eastern New South Wales.
District Council of Clare and Gilbert Valleys
The District Council of Clare and Gilbert Valleys is a local government administrative body located in the wine growing central south region of South Australia. The council was founded in 1997 with the amalgamation of the District Council of Clare, the District Council of Riverton and the District Council of Saddleworth and Auburn. Gilbert Valley is named for Thomas Gilbert.

Blyth, South Australia
Blyth is a small town in the Mid North of South Australia, located 13 kilometres west of the renowned Clare Valley. It has a population of 306, the farming community spanning the plains between the Clare Hills and the Barunga/Hummocks ranges. Altitude is 189 metres, and rainfall is approximately 400 millimetres per annum. Located approximately 132 kilometres north of Adelaide, the district's climate and soils are well suited to wheat, barley, legumes, hay, sheep, cattle and pigs.
Skilly Hills
The Skilly Hills are a range of hills which make up part of the Mount Lofty Ranges in South Australia's Mid North region. They comprise several long parallel ridges of low hills which run generally north south, parallel to the Main North Road, forming part of the western geographical boundary of the Clare Valley. For government administration, they are in the Hundred of Upper Wakefield, County of Stanley.
