Richmond, New South Wales
Richmond is a town in New South Wales, north-west of Sydney, in the local government area of the City of Hawkesbury. It is located at a latitude of 33° 35' 54" South and a longitude of 150°45' 04" east, 19 metres above sea level on the alluvial Hawkesbury River flats, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. It is about 65 km by road from Sydney.
Division of Macquarie
The Division of Macquarie is an Australian Electoral Division in New South Wales. The division was created in 1900 and was one of the original 75 divisions contested at the first federal election. It is named for Lachlan Macquarie, who was Governor of New South Wales between 1810 and 1821. Its best known member is Ben Chifley, who was Prime Minister of Australia from 1945 to 1949.

Clarendon railway station
Clarendon is a station on the CityRail Richmond line, located in the Sydney suburb of Clarendon. It serves the Hawkesbury Racecourse, but otherwise there is little residential or industrial building in the vicinity. The station has a crossing loop with catchpoints. The station opened in 1870, 6 years after the opening of the Richmond Line in 1864.

Hobartville, New South Wales
Hobartville is a suburb of Richmond, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Its current population is 2717 (Census 2001). Hobartville was originally a horse stud and was subdivided in the 1960s with the first houses built in 1969. Hobartville Public School was opened in 1971 and the Hobartville Shopping Centre was opened in 1978. The shopping centre is home to Laurence Street Takeaway and is located across the road from Tamplin Field, the local sports ground.

Crago Observatory
Crago Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned by the Astronomical Society of New South Wales. It is located at Bowen Mountain, near North Richmond, which is around 75 kilometres from Sydney city. The observatory consists of a large rotating dome housing a 16″ ƒ/7 Dobsonian telescope, fitted with Argo Navis and ServoCAT as well as a wide range of eyepieces and star charts available for use with the telescope.

Kurrajong is a small town in New South Wales, Australia. Kurrajong is located 75 kilometres north-west of Sydney, in the local government area of the City of Hawkesbury. Kurrajong is located to the west of the Hawkesbury River on the lower slopes of the Blue Mountains. It is 8 kilometres north-west of Richmond on the Bells Line of Road, with Kurrajong Hills and Kurrajong Heights further west on this road.
Bowen Mountain, New South Wales
Bowen Mountain is a small township in New South Wales, Australia, in the City of Hawkesbury. It is in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. The population of the town is 1,459 (Census 2011). It is home to the Crago Observatory. The observatory consists of a high quality 16” ƒ/7 Dobsonian telescope, housed in a large rotating dome. The telescope is equipped with a wide range of eyepieces, and gives good views of the sky.
