Dunwoody is a city located in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. It is a northern suburb of Atlanta. Dunwoody became incorporated as a city on December 1, 2008. As of the 2010 Census, the city had a total population of 46,267.
WAMJ
WAMJ (107.5 FM, "Majic 107.5 | 97.5") is a radio station broadcasting an Urban AC format. Licensed to the suburb of Roswell, Georgia, it serves the Atlanta metropolitan area. Dunwoody High School
Dunwoody High School is a public high school in Dunwoody, an incorporated city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. Dunwoody High School also serves students in the unincorporated areas and sections of Doraville. Dunwoody, with students attending in grades 9-12, follows a four by four block schedule, in which students attend four classes every day for 90 minutes. The school is operated by the DeKalb County School System.
Perimeter Mall
Perimeter Mall is an upscale super-regional shopping mall in Dunwoody, Georgia, just north of Atlanta, near the highway interchange of Interstate 285 (the Perimeter, for which the mall was named) and Georgia 400. It is at the heart of Perimeter Center, a modern edge city and neighborhood of high-rise office buildings, condos, restaurants, and shopping which spans the DeKalb/Fulton county line (just a few yards or meters to the west) into the city of Sandy Springs.
Crestwood High School (Georgia)
Crestwood High School, on Colonel Drive in what is now known as Sandy Springs, opened in the Fall of 1972 to relieve overcrowding at nearby Roswell High School and North Springs High School. Initially, Crestwood gained reputation as a public funded 'private High School,' a sales pitch used to draw a higher tax base to the area. For the first few years, the faculty and student body of the school remained almost entirely white.
Brandon Hall School
Brandon Hall School is a private school located in the Dunwoody neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The school serves students in grades four through twelve, as well as post-high school. It was founded in 1959. The school offers small classes and one-on-one instruction for students who have not been achieving in other educational settings. The school offers services to students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, ADHD, Asperger syndrome, and visual impairments.
Three Ravinia Drive
Three Ravinia Drive is a skyscraper located in the city of Dunwoody, in metropolitan Atlanta. Standing 444 feet tall (135.33 meters), it is the tallest building in Dunwoody. Ravinia was developed by Gerald Hines Interests of Houston, Texas, in 1991. It stands 31 stories tall. It is part of a large business complex that includes the twin 17-story towers of One and Two Ravinia Drive, a 15-story Crowne Plaza Hotel and a park. The tower is used mostly for commercial office space.
Seigakuin Atlanta International School
Seigakuin Atlanta International School is an international private school located in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, northeast of Atlanta. It is an affiliate to Seigakuin University. It is the only school in Greater Atlanta to use the Japanese educational system. Before moving to Gwinnett County in 2003, it was located on the property of Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, DeKalb County. As of 2012, Minako Oki Ahearn is the principal.
