Traian Vuia International Airport
Timișoara "Traian Vuia" International (also known as Giarmata Airport) is Romania's second largest airport in terms of air traffic, after Bucharest Henri Coandă and the main air transportation hub for the western part of Romania. It is located in Timişoara, in the region of Banat, near the Hungarian and Serbian border. The airport was renamed on February 6, 2003 in memory of Traian Vuia, a Romanian flight pioneer and a Timiş County native.
Millennium Church
The Millennium Church is located in the Fabric quarter of Timişoara, Romania, near the main Traian square. The church was built in the Neo-Romanesque style by Lajos Ybl, the foundation-stone being placed in 1896. It was sanctified on 13 October 1901 by Sándor Dessewffy. The main towers are 65m high, the central cupola 45m, and the capacity is for 3,000 people. The bell was made by Antal Novotny. The altar-piece was painted by György Vastagh and its organ was made by Leopold Wegenstein.
RoAF 93rd Air Base
The Romanian Air Force 93rd Air Base (Baza 93 Aeriană) was an air base located near Timişoara at the Traian Vuia International Airport. The base was disbanded in August 2004 due to the Romanian Armed Forces reorganisation program and the retirement of the MiG-23s which were based here. The military sector of the Traian Vuia International Airport is currently an annex of the 71st Air Base hosting the 714th Helicopter Squadron.
Dumbrăvița, Timiș
Dumbrăvița (Hungarian: Újszentes, "New Szentes") is a commune in Timiş County, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Dumbrăvița. At the 2011 census, 77.9% of inhabitants were Romanians, 14.6% Hungarians and 1.2% Germans. It was founded in 1892 by Hungarian settlers from Szentes. It is located near Timişoara, to the north. As result of the development of the city, many people from Timișoara have built homes in Dumbrăvița, which has the tendency of becoming a neighborhood of Timișoara.

Ghiroda is a commune in Timiş County, western Romania. It is located near Timişoara, to the east. As a result of the development of the city, the commune shows characteristics of being a neighborhood of Timișoara. The commune is composed of two villages, Ghiroda and Giarmata-Vii (Überland; Kisgyarmatapuszta). Carpatair has its head office in Ghiroda.

Fabric Synagogue
The Fabric New Synagogue in Timișoara, on Coloniei Street, is a Neologue synagogue in the Fabric quarter of the Romanian city of Timişoara, in the region of Banat. It was built when Timișoara (Temesvar) was a part of Transylvania and integrated in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The style is Neo-Moorish; it remains one of the most impressive buildings in the city. The year of the foundation of the first synagogue on this site is disputed. Some opinions date it to the year 1838, others, to 1841.
