Daugava River
The River Daugava or Western Dvina, not to be confused with Northern Dvina, is a river rising in the Valdai Hills, Russia, flowing through Russia, Belarus, and Latvia, draining into the Gulf of Riga in Latvia, an arm of the Baltic Sea. The total length of the river is 1,005 km : 325 km in Russia, 328 km in Belarus, and 352 km in Latvia. In the 19th century, it was connected by a canal to the Berezina and Dnieper rivers (the canal is currently not functioning).

Daugavgrīva is a neighbourhood in North West Riga, Latvia on the left bank of Daugava river. In this neighbourhood there is located Swedish built fortress on the Daugava River's left bank, commanding its mouth.
Bolderāja
Bolderāja is a district to the north-west of Riga, the capital of Latvia. It probably began as a fishing village. The area has been inhabited since at least the 10th century and possibly for a longer period of time but unfortunately there is no firm evidence because of variations in the course of the Daugava River and the shifting of sand dunes. The area was made into a Polish customs post in 1606. The wooden houses built during the Polish era in 1603 may be the oldest in Riga.
Arena Riga
Arena Riga is an indoor arena in Riga, Latvia. It is primarily used for ice hockey, basketball and concerts. Riga Arena holds a maximum of 14,500 people and was completed in 2006. It was built to be used as one of the venues for the 2006 IIHF World Championship, the other being Skonto Arena. It has been home to the Kontinental Hockey League club Dinamo Riga since 2008. During the years the Arena has also hosted many well-known artists from all over the world.

Skonto Stadium is a football stadium in Riga, Latvia. The stadium has 9,500 seats and was built in 2000. This is the biggest football stadium in Latvia.
Skonto Hall
Skonto Hall (also Skonto Arena) is an arena in Riga, Latvia. It is primarily used for different exhibitions. Skonto Hall holds 6,500 people and was renovated in 2006, so that it could be used as one of the venues for the 2006 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. The hall also played host to the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest.

Spilve Airport
Spilve Airport (Latvian: Spilves lidosta, also given as Rīgas Centrālā Lidosta – Riga Central Airport) is a former civilian and military airport in Latvia located 5 km north of the Riga city centre, from which aircraft took off as early as the First World War. It became the first international airport of Riga in the 1930s and fell into disuse in 1980s after the new Riga International Airport was built.
Andrejsala
Andrejsala is a district of Riga, Latvia, located within the former territory of an industrial port next to the city center. It is currently developed into a significant art, culture and entertainment center featuring exhibition halls, clubs, workshops, studios, a cafe and a hotel. The plans for future development of the area are in the works as of June, 2007. Buildings without heritage value in Andrejsala will be demolished and in their place new buildings will be built.
Albert Street, Riga
Albert Street is a street in Riga, named after Bishop Albert. It is known for its Art Nouveau apartment buildings, many of them designed by the architect Mikhail Eisenstein. Building along the street Albert, 12 — the bright sample of national caused reaction to the Scandinavian northern modernist style. The house is constructed with use of structural and decorative elements of the Latvian national romanticism.

Abava Valley
The Abava Valley is the valley of the Abava River in Talsi, Tukums, and Kuldīga municipalities, Latvia, in the historical Kurzeme region. On 20 June 1996 the Republic of Latvia designated the Abava Valley the specially protected cultural territory and on 03/01/2005 it was submitted for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The valley is the route of the historical road from Riga to Prussia and Northern Germany, and as such, it is rich in historical and cultural monuments.

Daugavgrīva Abbey or Dünamünde Abbey was a Cistercian monastery in Daugavgrīva in Latvia, about 12 kilometres from Riga, of which Daugavgrīva has formed a district since 1959. The site was re-developed from 1305 as Daugavgrīva Castle.
