Westminster Abbey (British Columbia)
Westminster Abbey is a community of Benedictine monks in Mission, British Columbia, established in 1939 from the Abbey of Mount Angel, Oregon. The Abbey is home to the Seminary of Christ the King and is a member of the Swiss American Congregation within the Benedictine Confederation. The abbey's official name is the Abbey of Saint Joseph of Westminster; Saint Joseph is the abbey's patron saint. The abbey was designed by the firm of Gardiner, Thornton, Gathe and Associates.

Xá:ytem is an archaeological site and a museum run under the auspices of the Sto:lo at Hatzic, British Columbia, Canada, a suburb of Mission, located on the edge of the community. Xá:ytem is approximately 80 kilometers east of the city of Vancouver on Hwy 7 and is reached via the bridge at Mission, about 15 kilometers from the border with the United States state of Washington. Pekw'Xe:yles, also spelled Peckquaylis, is an Indian Reserve on the north bank of the Fraser River in Mission, British Columbia, Canada, located between Lower Hatzic Slough and D'Herbomez Creek. 10.3 ha. in area, it was reinstated in June, 2005 by Order in Council and is used by 21 Indian bands.

Hatzic Lake
Hatzic Lake is an oxbow lake adjoining the Fraser River on the east side of Mission, British Columbia, Canada, immediately below that district municipality's neighbourhood of Hatzic, which is on a benchland above and to the west of the lake. Its waters subject to flood control, it is no longer natural as the land in the centre of the oxbow, Hatzic Island, is a relatively densely-populated suburban and recreational community.

Ferndale Institution
Ferndale Institution is a minimum-security federal correctional facility located in Mission, British Columbia, in the central Fraser Valley, about 80 kilometres east of Vancouver. Ferndale opened in 1973 and can house up to 166 inmates, who live in residential-style units on a federal reserve shared with Mission Institution. The current warden is (unknown).
