It is part of the Wyong Shire local government area. Not to be confused with Tuggerah, QLD, Tuggerah was originally an Aboriginal word but its true meaning is not agreed upon by all sources. Some say that it originally meant 'cold' or 'cold place' and some say 'savannah grasslands'.

The centre completed a large upgrade in 2005 and is now host to 245 stores plus an 8 cinema Greater Union complex, including Senstadium seating. It is currently the second largest shopping centre on the Central Coast after Erina Fair.

The Entrance Bridge

The road forms part of Wilfred Barret Drive. The Entrance Bridge was originally a wooden single lane bridge with bypass bays at intervalas that allowed traffic travelling in the opposite direction to pass. It was opened in 1934.
