Kennesaw, Georgia

Kennesaw is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, United States, located in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. It had a population of 29,783 according to the 2010 census. Founded in 1887, Kennesaw has a past surrounded with railroad history. During the Civil War, Kennesaw was the staging ground for the Great Locomotive Chase on April 12, 1862. In 2007, the city was selected by Family Circle magazine as one of the nation's "10 best towns for families".

KSU Convocation Center

The KSU Convocation Center is the athletic department’s centerpiece on campus. The 4,600-seat arena opened in 2005 in Kennesaw, Georgia and is home to the Kennesaw State Owls' men's and women's basketball teams, the volleyball team as well as the athletic department’s administrative offices. Lake Acworth

Lake Acworth is a 90-acre man-made lake located southwest of the city of Acworth, Georgia. It is located in the extreme northwestern part of Cobb County. The lake impounds Proctor Creek (not the same as Proctor Creek in nearby Atlanta), and outflows into Lake Allatoona. The low dam is at the point where State Route 92 (Lake Acworth Drive) crosses. The city of Acworth operates Acworth Beach, a public beach and park along the northern shore of the lake.
