Stobi

Stobi was an ancient town of Paeonia, later conquered by Macedon, and later turned into the capital of the Roman province of Macedonia Salutaris (now in the Republic of Macedonia). It is located on the main road that leads from the Danube to the Aegean Sea and is considered by many to be the most famous archaeological site in the Republic of Macedonia. Stobi was built where the Erigón river joins the Axiós river, making it important strategically as a center for both trade and warfare.

Antigonia (Paeonia)

Antigonia also transliterated as Antigonea and Antigoneia was a Hellenistic city in Paeonia, North Macedonia, placed in the Peutinger Table between Stena and Stobi, where present day city of Negotino is located. Crna (river)

The Crna (also Crna Reka, Macedonian: or Reka Crna) is river in the Republic of Macedonia, right tributary of the Vardar. It runs though much of the south and west of the country. Its source is in the mountains of western Macedonia, west of Kruševo. It flows through the village Sopotnica, and southwards through the plains east of Bitola. At Brod it turns northeast, and it flows into the Vardar between Rosoman and Gradsko.

Rosoman is a village in Republic of Macedonia. It is a seat of the Rosoman municipality. The village boasts a small roadside market and a few restaurants also situated along the main road. These are strategically positioned so as to attract custom from outside the village, as Rosoman is one of the only villages on the route between Gradsko - to the north - and the Pletvar mountains, which separate central Macedonia from the important cities of Prilep and Bitola.

Barovo

Barovo is in the southern region of the Demir Kapija municipality. It is a point on many searchable satellite or internet maps. Barovo is settled in a wooded area, rather isolated on a road to the south of the town of Demir Kapija past the church. Barovo is the second inhabited village on this road to Konopiste. The village church, built in 1908 unfortunately has fallen due to lack of inhabitants to care for it.

Besvica

Besvica is in the southeast of the Republic of Macedonia. It is an isolated village in the southern part of the Demir Kapija Municipality. The road from the Demir Kapija church south to the village of Konopiste was part of a system of roads in the days of the Turkish and improved by the French after World War I. Besvica is the first village past Demir Kapija on this road to Konopiste and the Kozuf mountain.

Bistrenci

Bistrenci is one of the larger villages in Demir Kapija municipality. Its population is mixed among Turks, ethnic Macedonians, Albanian, and Vlach. It has been has its roots in the Ottoman period until the Slovenes came to harvest grapes. The Catholic church was then built. Many Turkish stayed and still live in the village to this day. The Slovenes stayed until World War II, and the Macedonians inhabited the village afterwards and erected an Orthodox community.

Dren, Demir Kapija

Dren is a small village in the municipality of Demir Kapija. It is located in the western part of the Municipality near the Dosnica river power plant facility. It operates a fish hatchery and a modern egg farm. The holiday of the Patron Saint, coined Panagjur, is very popular where many people gather in the village to visit its inhabitants and celebrate on August 25.

Koprišnica is a small village south of Dren along the Došnica river in the Republic of Macedonia. It has the only waterfalls in the municipality of Demir Kapija. There are no residents in the village, but former residents and families return to open the church on the Patron Saint's Day, coined Panagjur, on May 8. It is the highest elevated village in the municipality.

Korešnica

Korešnica is the largest village in the municipality of Demir Kapija in the Republic of Macedonia. It is mixed ethnically Turkish, Serb, and ethnic Macedonian. It is seen from the main highway on the opposite side of Demir Kapija. Korešnica has several small festivals a year and an active village football club, which usually plays on these holidays. A company that develops asphalt is located here with another location near Klisura-DK.

Prždevo

Prždevo is a mixed ethnic Macedonian and Roma village with over 200 residents, located in the Republic of Macedonia. It had nearly 500 residents just 15 years ago, but many moved to larger areas. Even so, the village boasts a pepper factory and a winery, scheduled to open in 2008. It is the only village in the municipality with ethnic Roma families, which account for about 20% of the population. It has a very old church, and is the crossroads for several other villages to the east and south.

Strmaševo is an abandoned village at the southernmost part of the municipality of Demir Kapija. It was equal in size and close to Dračevica-DK. After the Bulgarians raided the village during World War I, the residents moved to Dračevica-DK as a safe haven. All that is left of this village are foundations of some houses. The church and school were also destroyed.
