Heraclea Lyncestis
Heraclea Lyncestis also spelled Herakleia Lynkestis (Greek: Ἡράκλεια Λυγκηστίς or Ἡράκλεια Λύγκου) was an ancient Macedonian city situated 2 km south of the present-day town of Bitola, Republic of Macedonia. It was founded by Philip II of Macedon in the middle of the 4th century BC, after he had conquered the surrounding region of Lynkestis and incorporated it into his kingdom of Macedon. The city was named in honor of the mythological Greek hero Heracles.
Battle of Monastir
The Battle of Monastir took place near the town of Bitola, Macedonia (then known as Monastir) during the First Balkan War, from 16 to 19 November 1912. As an ongoing part of the Balkan Wars, the Ottoman Vardar Army retreated from the defeat at Kumanovo and regrouped around Bitola. The Serbian 1st Army, marching for Bitola, encountered heavy Ottoman artillery fire and had to wait for its own artillery to arrive.
St. Clement of Ohrid University of Bitola
The St. Clement of Ohrid University of Bitola (Macedonian: Универзитет „Св. Климент Охридски“ - Битола, Univerzitet „Sv. Kliment Ohridski“) is the second Macedonian state university located mainly in Bitola, with faculties in the neighboring towns of Prilep and Ohrid. It was founded on 25 April 1979, but the name St. Clement of Ohrid was not given until late 1994. The number of enrolled students exceeds 15,000.
Stadion Tumbe Kafe
Tumbe Kafe Stadium (Macedonian: Стадион под Тумбе Кафе) is a football stadium in Bitola, Republic of Macedonia. It is the home stadium of FK Pelister, who currently play in the Macedonian Second League. The stadium is divided into two stands - North, which consists of 2,500 seats among which is the press box along with the team pads, and the South, which consists mainly of the Pelister supporters and seats about 5,000. Pelister have hosted European cup matches at Tumbe Kafe on four occasions.
Jeni Mosque
The Yeni Mosque (Macedonian: Јени џамија, Jeni džamija), situated in Bitola, Republic of Macedonia, was built in 1558 by Kadi Mahmud-efendi. It is well known for its exquisite decorative ornaments and stalactites. The glazed decorative features found on the Yeni Mosque are the only examples of their kind in the country. Today, this mosque houses an art gallery. Yeni means "new" in Turkish.
Širok Sokak
Širok Sokak (Macedonian: Широк Сокак, meaning "Wide Alley", from the Turkish word for "Street") is a long pedestrian street in Bitola, Republic of Macedonia. The street is considered to be the centre of Bitola. It roughly starts at Magnolia Square and ends in the City Park. It is graced with neo-classical buildings that contain stores, cafés and restaurants. Širok Sokak is also home to several consulates.

The Bitola Zoo, is a zoo in Bitola, Macedonia, founded on 1 May 1950 with the help of the Skopje's, Zagreb's, Belgrade's and Subotica's zoos. The Bitola zoo plays a significant role in the sphere of social living, especially in the sector of education as well as the protection of certain animal species. Ever since its establishment as an institution in 1950, the zoo has been constantly improving the conditions in order to meet European standards, but these standards have not yet been met.
