Vilnius
Vilnius (see also other names) is the capital of Lithuania, and its largest city, with a population of 535,091 (809,225 together with Vilnius County) as of 2011. It is located in the southeast of the country. It is the second biggest city of the Baltic states, after Riga. Vilnius is the seat of the Vilnius city municipality and of the Vilnius district municipality. It is also the capital of Vilnius County.

The Lithuanian Institute of History (Lithuanian: Lietuvos istorijos institutas) is a state-funded research institution in Lithuania. Governed by national law, it is the country's main institution of history research, concentrating mostly on the history of Lithuania and its neighbouring states. Lithuanian Special Archives
Lithuanian Special Archives is an archive in Lithuania for the storage of documents from the period 1940-1991. Numerous KGB and Lithuanian SSR Ministry of Interior documents were left in Lithuania after it gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, and are now held here. Around 18,000 linear metres of records are stored. The Special Archives are maintained by the government Lithuanian Archives Department, and are collected and stored according to Lithuanian Archives law.

Lukiškės Prison
Lukiškės Prison (Lithuanian: Lukiškių tardymo izoliatorius kalėjimas) is a prison in the center of Vilnius, Lithuania, near the Lukiškės Square. As of 2007, it houses approximately 1,000 prisoners and employs around 250 prison guards. Most prisoners are there under temporary arrest awaiting court decisions or transfers to other detention facilities, but there is also a permanent prison with about 180 inmates; about 80 of whom are serving for life.

Seimas Palace
Seimas Palace is the Lithuanian parliament named Seimas seat in Lithuania's capital Vilnius. Works on the construction of the first wing of palace were carried out in 1976. The Construction was supervised by architects Algimantas Nasvytis and Vytautas Nasvytis. In 1980 9717,37 square meters palace works were completed. Later the building was expanded due to growing needs.
St. Nicholas Church, Vilnius
St. Nicholas Church (Lithuanian: Šv. Mikalojaus bažnyčia) is the oldest surviving church in Lithuania, built in the Old Town of the capital city Vilnius. Originally built in the 14th century, it is mentioned in writing for the first time in 1387. Archaeologists believe that the same Roman Catholic church survived till the present day. Externally, the church represents the Brick Gothic style, while its interior has been renovated several times.

The Jonas Mekas Visual Arts Center (Lithuanian: Jono Meko Vizualiųjų Menų Centras) is an avant-garde arts centre in Vilnius, Lithuania. The Jonas Mekas Visual Arts Center was opened on November 10, 2007 by acclaimed Lithuanian filmmaker Jonas Mekas. The premiere exhibition featured The Avant-Garde: From Futurism to Fluxus. Part of the recently purchased Fluxus art collection, consisting of 2,600 pieces, is presented to the public in the Visual Arts Center.
Evangelical Cemetery, Vilnius
The Evangelical Cemetery in Vilnius, Lithuania was established in early 19th century. As the city grew, there was a need to move the old Lutheran cemetery outside the city walls. The old cemetery, used from 1550s, was located in land donated by the Radziwiłł family on Liejyklos Street. Before the old cemetery was closed Vilnius University professor made an inventory of interesting tombstones.
Polish Radio Wilno
Polish Radio Wilno (Polish: Polskie Radio Wilno) was a station of the Polish Radio, located in the city of Wilno, which in the interbellum period belonged to the Second Polish Republic. Irregular daily broadcasts began on November 28, 1927, and on December 4, 1927, the station began its normal operation. Official opening ceremony took place on January 15, 1928.
Kazimieras Simonavičius University
Kazimieras Simonavičius University is a private university in Lithuania which offers courses in Master of Law. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania licensed VABL on August 26, 2003. Teaching commenced from the year 2004. In 2012, the university changed its name to honor Kazimierz Siemienowicz (ca. 1600–1651), a military engineer and artillery specialist.
Vilna Gaon Jewish State Museum
The Vilna Gaon Jewish State Museum in Vilnius, Lithuania is dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of Lithuanian Jewry. The museum was established in 1989 by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture. Over the course of the following years, its exhibition items, many from earlier Jewish museums in Lithuania, were brought together. It received its current name in 1997, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the death of the Talmudic scholar Vilna Gaon.
Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre
Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT) (Lithuanian: Lietuvos nacionalinis operos ir baleto teatras) is an opera house and ballet theatre in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was built in 1974. The Lithuanian State Symphony, the Kaunas State Choir, and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra are housed in the LNOBT. Apart from standard Western and Russian repertory works, the opera also performs national operas.
Museum of Genocide Victims
The Museum of Genocide Victims (Lithuanian: Genocido aukų muziejus) in Vilnius, Lithuania was established in 1992 by order of the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture and the President of the Lithuanian Union of Political Prisoners and Deportees. In 1997 it was transferred to the Genocide and Resistance Research Centre of Lithuania. The museum is located in the former KGB headquarters across from the Lukiškės Square, therefore it is informally referred to as the KGB Museum.

Polish Theater in Vilnius
The Polish Theater in Vilnius is a Polish-language theater in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was founded in 1963 by actress and director Irena Rymowicz. It staged its first premiere comedy Ladies and Hussars by Aleksander Fredro in 1965. In 1990, the Polish Theater in Vilnius was awarded a collective Honorary Badge of Merit for Polish Culture from the Polish Ministry of Culture. Since 1992 the artistic director and director of the theater is Irena Litvinovič.
