Lawrence School, Lovedale
The Lawrence School, Lovedale is an educational institution in Lovedale, located near Ootacamund, Tamil Nadu, India, and named for its founder, Sir Henry Montgomery Lawrence. Lawrence had mooted the idea about the establishment of a chain of schools with a view to provide education to the children of the deceased and serving soldiers and officers of the British army. The Nilgiri Wildlife and Environmental Association (NMEA) is a non-governmental organization registered in Tamil Nadu state South India. Their objective is to conserve the wildlife, habitat and natural resources of the Nilgiri Hills. They conduct programs on environmental education, tree planting, bird watching, animal census and soil conservation. They arrange treking parties to Mukurthi National Park. Government Rose Garden, Ooty

Stone House, Ooty
Stone House was the first bungalow constructed in Ooty. It was built by John Sullivan and was called Kal Bangala by the tribals (Kal means stone in Tamil). Today, it is the official residence of the Principal of the Government Arts College, Ooty. The tree in front of the bungalow is famously known as the Sullivan's oak.
