South Vietnam

South Vietnam, officially the Republic of Vietnam, was a state which governed southern Vietnam until 1975. It received international recognition in 1949 as the "State of Vietnam" (1949–55), and later as the "Republic of Vietnam" (1955–75). Its capital was Saigon. Cholon, Ho Chi Minh City

Chợ Lớn is a Chinese-influenced section of Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon). It is the largest Chinatown in Vietnam. It lies on the west bank of the Saigon River, having Binh Tay Market as its central market. Cholon consists of the western half of District 5 as well as several adjoining neighborhoods in District 6. The Vietnamese name Cholon literally means "big" (lớn) "market" (chợ).

Chi Hoa

Chí Hòa Prison is a functioning Vietnamese prison located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The prison is an octagonal building on a 7-hectare site consisting of detention rooms, jail cells, prison walls, watchtowers, facilities and prisoner's farmlands. The prison is one of 12 national prisons in Vietnam. Originally built by the French Indochina colonial government in 1943 (or 1939) to replace the Saigon Grand Prison, the prison was extensively used by all succeeding governments of Vietnam.

Vinh Nghiem Pagoda

Vĩnh Nghiêm Pagoda is a pagoda in an area of 6,000 m² at 339, Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa street, Ward 7, District 3 Ho Chi Minh City. Phu Tho Horse Racing Ground

Phu Tho Horse Racing Ground is the only place in Ho Chi Minh City and in Vietnam that organizes horse racing. The racing ground was founded by the French colonists during French Indochina. It is situated in District 11, Ho Chi Minh City. It was the location of a major battle between the Viet Cong and the Army of the Republic of Vietnam during the Tet Offensive. Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery
