Brusnik, Zaječar

Brusnik is a village situated in the Zaječar municipality (formerly in Negotin municipality, as it is 37 km from Zaječar and just 21 km from Negotin, which is somewhat similar to the situation to that of their counterparts in Macedonia) of the Republic of Serbia. Located roughly halfway between the end points of Prahovo-Zaječar railway line, it is the sole major railway junction on it.

Castra Martis

Castra Martis was a Roman fortress in the Roman province of Dacia ripensis on the modern site of Kula, in Vidin Province in Bulgaria. It used to protect the road through Vrashka Chuka pass in the western Balkan mountains. In 408, the Huns under Uldin took control of the site during an attack on the Eastern Roman Empire, apparently by treachery. Castra Martis Hill on Livingston Island, in the South Shetland Islands, West Antarctica, is named after it.

Boynitsa
