Shipka Pass
Shipka Pass (Bulgarian: Шипченски проход, Shipchenski prohod) (el. 1150 m./3820 ft. ) is a scenic mountain pass through the Balkan Mountains in Bulgaria. It marks the border between Stara Zagora province and Gabrovo province. The pass connects Gabrovo and Kazanlak. The pass is part of the Bulgarka Nature Park. The pass is 13 km by road north of the small town of Shipka. It is crossed by a road and railroad, which run from Ruse on the Danube River to Stara Zagora and then on to Edirne in Turkey.
Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex
The Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex (Bulgarian: Архитектурно-етнографски комплекс „Етър“, usually referred to as Етъра, Etara) is an open-air museum and a neighbourhood of Gabrovo (8 km south of its center) in northern Bulgaria. It is located on the northern edge of the Bulgarka Nature Park, between the park and the city of Gabrovo. It presents the Bulgarian customs, culture and craftsmanship.
Sokolski Monastery
The Sokolski Monastery is a Bulgarian Orthodox monastery founded in 1833 and named after its founder Yosif Sokolski. It is located 15 km southwest of Gabrovo on the northern slopes of the Balkan Mountains in the Bulgarka Nature Park and is close to the Sokolovo cave. Originally, a small wooden church was built in 1833 and the frescoes were finished a year later.
Shipka (town)
Shipka is a town in central Bulgaria, part of Kazanlak municipality, Stara Zagora Province. It lies in the Central Balkan Mountains, at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:42|42|N|25|23|E||| | |name= }}, 650 metres above sea level. As of 2005, Shipka has a population of 1,398 and the mayor is Stoyan Ivanov. The town is known for being located near the historic Shipka Pass, the location of several key battles in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78.
Buzludzha
Buzludzha (Turkish: Buzluca - lit. meaning "glacially/icy") is a historical peak in the Central Stara Planina, Bulgaria and is 1441 metres high. In 1868 it was the place of the final battle between Bulgarian rebels led by Hadji Dimitar and Stefan Karadzha and the Turks. The Buzludzha Monument on the peak was built by the Bulgarian communist regime to commemorate the events in 1891 when the socialists led by Dimitar Blagoev assembled secretly in the area to form an organised socialist movement.
Hristo Botev Stadium (Gabrovo)
Hristo Botev Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. It is currently chiefly used for football matches. The stadium holds 14,000 people. It is the home ground of FC Yantra Some interesting concerts took place at the stadium in 1988 - Uriah Heep, 2002 - t.A.T.u. The stadium hosted the 1990 Final match of Bulgarian Football Cup between FC Sliven and CSKA Sofia which was won 2-0 by Sliven. Since 2004, every summer the stadium is a host to a football tournament: "Kamenitza fan cup"

The Bulgarka Natural Park is a Bulgarian nature park located on the northern slopes of the Balkan Mountains (Stara Planina), occupying 22,000 hectares of territory in the central and Eastern part of the mountains between the cities of Gabrovo and Kazanluk. Located between the steep topography of the Central Balkan and the significantly lower and sloping Eastern part of Stara Planina, the region is characterized by significant diversity in terrain.
