Kuala Belaitis a town located in South-West of Brunei. It is the second largest town in the country, after Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei and functions as the administrative city for the Belait District. "Kuala Belait" literally means "the mouth of the Belait River" in the Malay language. Its name comes from "Kuala" meaning either confluence of two rivers or the mouth of a river, and Belait, the name of the river and district. It is also known locally as "Belait".
Seria is a town in the Belait District of Brunei Darussalam. Its full name is Pekan Seria (Pekan is the Malay word for "Town"). Seria was originally known as Padang Berawa which is Wild Pigeon's Field in Malay. The name "Seria" comes from the river located very near where oil was first discovered in the area in 1929. Official correspondence by the people that made the oil discovery stated that it was found in "Seria", and thus the name of the area became known as "Seria".
Panaga is a town in Mukim Seria in the Belait District of Brunei Darussalam. Its full name is Kampung Panaga ('Kampung' is Malay for village). Residents of Panaga are mostly expatriates working for Brunei Shell Petroleum.
Seria is a mukim in the Belait District of Brunei. It is about 169 square kilometres in size. It is located in the north-west of the Belait District, bordering the South China Sea to the north, Mukim Liang to the east, Mukim Labi to the south-east, Mukim Kuala Balai to the south and Mukim Kuala Belait to the west. It has over 27,000 residents made up of various races, including Malays and Chinese.
Mumong, or Kampong Mumong in Malay is a village located in the Belait district of Brunei Darussalam between the towns of Kuala Belait and Seria. It serves as a suburb for both of these towns. Technically it is two villages - Kampong Mumong (Mumong Utara) north of the Seria Bypass, and Kampong Mumong Selatan, south of the Seria Bypass.
