Ijevan
Ijevan (Armenian: Իջևան; formerly, Istibulagh and Karavansara) is a city in Armenia and the capital of Tavush region. It is located in the northern part of the region, on the foot of Ijevan ridge and Nal'teket ridge on both banks of Aghstev River. The city's current name, Ijevan, and its former name Karavansara (until 1919) both mean "inn", in Armenian and Persian, respectively. The city's population as of 2009 is 20,500 making it the most populated city in the province.

Khashtarak
Khashtarak (Armenian: Խաշթառակ, also Romanized as Khasht’arrak and Khashtarrak) is a village in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Within the village is a recently built church, and nearby west and southeast are abandoned medieval settlements with khachkars. Recently, Khashtarak has witnessed many charitable activities applied by the All-Armenia Fund. The medical centre of the village, the kindergarten and the public-education school were all renovated by the efforts of Diasporan Armenians.

Aknaghbyur (Armenian: Ակնաղբյուր; until 1967, Nerkin Agdan and Nerkin Aghdan, Russified as Nizhniy Agdan, from 1967 to 1970, Morut) is a town in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Aknaghbyur was founded in 451 in honor of Vartan Mamikonian and is one of Armenia’s oldest rural communities.
