Fair Oaks is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California, United States. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 30,912 at the 2010 census, up from 28,008 at the 2000 census. Fair Oaks's zip code is 95628 and its area code is 916.

Gold River is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California. The population was 7,812 at the 2010 census, down from 8,023 at the 2000 census. Gold River is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community of Gold River consists of a residential planned development and some smaller subdivisions served by Gold River Discovery Center (a K through 8 school), as well as some retail, commercial and light industrial areas.

Established in 1959, the Sacramento Waldorf School is an American private school offering programs from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. It is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. Nimbus Dam
The Nimbus Dam is a base load hydroelectric dam on the American River near Folsom, California. Approximately 8,700 acre feet of water is retained by the dam. It is responsible for the impoundment of water from the American River to create the Lake Natoma reservoir. As part of the Central Valley Project (CVP), a federal water project that provides irrigation and municipal water to much of California's Central Valley, it was authorized in 1949 as a regulating reservoir for Folsom Dam.

The station is located on Folsom Boulevard just south of Highway 50 at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard.

The station is located on Folsom Boulevard at Rocket Circle, two blocks east of Hazel Avenue.
Rancho San Juan
Rancho San Juan was a 19,983-acre Mexican land grant in present day Sacramento County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Joel P. Dedmond. The grant extended east of Captain Eliab Grimes Rancho Del Paso along the north bank of the American River, across from William Leidesdorff's Rancho Rio de los Americanos, and encompassed present day Orangevale, Fair Oaks and most of Carmichael.
