Yujing District
Yujing is a rural district in eastern Tainan City, Taiwan. It is famous for its cultivation of mangoes. After a 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit southern Taiwan in March 2010, pillars were severely damaged at Yujing Junior High School forcing school officials to cancel some classes. Kingdom of Tungning
The Kingdom of Tungning or Kingdom of Formosa was a government that ruled part of southwestern Taiwan between 1661 and 1683. A pro-Ming Dynasty state, it was founded by Koxinga (also known as Zheng Chenggong) (鄭成功) after the Ming government in China was replaced by the Manchu-ruled Qing Dynasty. Koxinga hoped to use the island as a base of operations to train military forces and recapture mainland China from the Manchus.
Guanziling Hot Spring
Guanziling (關子嶺) in Tainan is one of the most famous hot spring sites in Taiwan. This rare spring releases methane, which has been burning constantly for around three centuries.
Tainan County Stadium
Tainan County Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Tainan, Taiwan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium is able to hold 40,000 people and was opened in 1998.
Madou District
Madou is a town of about 50,000 residents in Tainan, Taiwan. It owes its name to the Siraya aboriginal word Moatau or "Mattou". Madou was formerly one of the core Siraya villages during much of Taiwan's colonial history and figured heavily in the formation of colonial policy on Taiwan. Currently, it is a well-known town in Tainan for its local culinary specialties and historical sites.
Taiwan Shoufu University
Taiwan Shoufu University (台灣首府大學), formerly known as Diwan College of Management, founded in 1990, is the second college of Madou District in Tainan City. It was founded by Mr. Wang Hung-Tien,and his wife, Ms. Huang Hsin-Mong. Mr. Wang was an educator, and his wife was a legislator. With a devotion to education, they decided to set up a college at their hometown Madou.

Tainan Science Park of Taiwan is located in Xinshi, Shanhua and Anding Districts of Tainan City with a total area of 2,565 acres, and is a part of the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP).
Shanhua District
Shanhua is a suburban district of Tainan City, a special municipality of the Republic of China located in southwestern Taiwan. Until December 25, 2010, it was an urban township in the dissolved Tainan County, which is now merged with the original Tainan City to form a single special municipality.
1964 Baihe earthquake
The 1964 Baihe earthquake, also known as the Great Baihe earthquake, was a deadly earthquake measured at 6.3 ML, occurred at 20:04 CST (UTC+8) on 18 January 1964 in Baihe Township of Tainan County (now part of Tainan City), Taiwan. The hypocenter of the earthquake was 20 kilometers deep. The earthquake killed 106 people, destroyed 10,924 buildings, and caused a great fire in Jiayi City.
Baihe District
Baihe District is an old town located in Tainan City, Taiwan. It is known for its hot springs and Lotus Festival today. The town borders Chiayi County to the north and east, Dongshan District to the south, and Houbi District to the west. Some aboriginal tribes of Siraya people are live in here. Although they still exist today, their lifestyles and traditions were almost replaced (or perhaps some were absorbed) by Han Chinese culture.

Anding District is a rural district of about 30,038 residents in Tainan, Taiwan. During the Dutch colonial era the area was known as Bakloan or Baccloan.

National Nanke International Experimental High School (NNKIEH), situated in the Southern Taiwan Science Park, is a public, co-educational school serving Grades 1 -12. NNKIEH was founded in 2006 in order to ensure a good academic environment for the children of both local Science Park employees as well as foreign high-tech professionals. The school is multi-cultural. Three of the departments are for local Chinese students and adopt the Taiwanese (R.O.C.
1946 Hsinhua earthquake
The 1946 Hsinhua earthquake, also referred to as the 1946 Tainan earthquake was a magnitude 6.1 earthquake which hit Tainan County (now part of Tainan City), Taiwan, on December 5, 1946 at 06:47. The quake claimed 74 lives and was the eighth deadliest earthquake in twentieth century Taiwan.
Southern Taiwan Science Park
Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP) is an industrial park established by the government of Taiwan. It consists of Tainan Science Park and Kaohsiung Science Park, covering 2,578 acres and 1,409 acres, respectively.
